Same here, a tremendous disappointment, I regret buying and trying to trudge through it trying to finish it, but had to stop and uninstall it, too bad I can't refund it. I should pirated it.
GSC massively underdelivered, I'm sick of hearing the constant stream of excuses thrown in their defense, if they needed 2 more years to actually deliver the game, ok, could have waited even 3 more.
I'm so done with the game, I don't even want to watch the ending and have it spoiled, just can't care about the game.

Actual engine level modding seems still impossible with modern UE games.
I have seen tons of total conversions and complete overhauls in odler games like UT2004, HL, original Stalker or bethesda slop, but anything UE4 and 5 has been just model swaps and ini edits.
Shit's too locked down.

I hate it. Absolutely dissatisfied and disappointed. It's so bad, so frustrating, there's nothing fun about the game what so ever. I'd rather go sand a wall.

Did they fix the second half of the game yet?
Completed it back in January and there's just zero content or progression outside of the story after SIRCAA, enemies become ridiculous bullet sponges that would hitscan attack from miles away and do at least 70% of my health per hit.
Then from Pripyat onwards everything was completely broken - none of the quest triggers worked, NPCs not where they should be so I had to use console to trigger quest progression, final section completely bugged out so I was having to noclip through sealed doors - I had less trouble with SHoC in 2007

It's so depressing, and yet I just can't let go. I finished the game on launch and I knew that no amount of patching could fix it. All it's biggest problems are baked into the cake. The game runs and looks better now, but none of that really matters when it feels like a Ubislop game.
