dont feel bad anon, i still dont know what the fuck im doing either, never seen a mirror or collected enough shards to make one, campaign still takes 10+ hours, and never once have i made a scion

one of the biggest mistakes is dont think of which character to play first, think about the skill. characters are just starting points on the passive tree and a 20-40% power boost depending on the ascendancy. planning around the skill will determine from the start if you will focus on clear, bosses, or specialized content. the skill will determine your speed and how easy/hard it will be to gear. the skill will determine how much it will cost to get your build up and running.
volcanic fissure, pconc, and smite are the most poppular a week into this new league. EA elementalist is a solid, safe, and cheap build right now. And minions or RF are newb friendly with the possibility of clearing the high end if you put enough time and currency into them.
