I don't know. You'll end up installing it and get steamrolled a lot by players that either never stopped playing, or they're just cheating. This and the first EA BF are definitely meat-grinder tier with heroes as well.

It's unironically pretty fun online though if you're not a kdr/competitive fag, and there's also the co-op modes and bots. Worth a buy if when it's on sale for a few bucks.

I wouldn't say battlefield 3 is worth playing in current year. Unless you want your nostalgia berries stimulated its rather disappointing. Very middle of the road and doesn't meet the highs of its predecessor and sequel.
There's only one US server and its only really populated on weekends which is the only time it'll run DLC maps. Otherwise theres a german and RU server that run DLC maps on weekdays but theres high ping and you'll get kicked for it if it goes too high.
I think it would depend on the other slop game tbqh, but overall I've had a much better time in Battlefront 2 than BF3

To clarify the hacker issue, YES the game IS infested with them but due to 20k player popping out of nowhere they became less apparent, wait until the number return to 4k daily and you will see them frequently.

Also the EA APP causes fps issues because of their shit overlay, disable it immediately and also the Celebration edition is for some reason ALWAYS ONLINE...the standard isn't because of the dlcs.

It's unironically the best time to get into the game. You'll get a lot of fun out of it since tons of new and old players have come back the community is thriving. Ignore claims about hackers and shit, they're in 1/20 matches at most at the moment and it will be very obvious when one is hacking. Most of the time it's just autists with 2000 hours in the game steam rolling on a hero. Seriously, Heroes are OP as fuck and never got patched to be balanced. My advice to you is to learn one lightsaber hero and one special reinforcement like the jet trooper. You'll be immortal if you play them well.

I got a funny anecdote about that, the drive I had the EA app installed on died a while back and I couldn't reinstall it because there was leftover stuff pointing to a non existent drive insisting it was there and I also couldn't use the windows uninstall thing to remove what was apparently still on C: because it couldn't find anything to uninstall on the dead drive, so when the game suddenly got big again I just brought it on steam, shat myself for a moment when it said it had to reinstall the EA app but it managed to just do it anyway. I haven't tried using it again seperate from the steam game though.
