You think the established playerbase is going to jump into Destiny 3 and not kick and scream after 10 years?
Then even if it's only about new players, it's still a new entry in a series. The series needs the goodwill of previous players to bring in new players, because that's who's going to be making all the YouTube preview videos.
The reason no one jumps into Destiny now is because the current playerbase say awful things about it. YouTube comments tell you to stay away.
