Which game has more worth for wasting your time?

Destiny 2 is on a downwards spiral. Releasing less content and trying to rationalise to their players it's a good thing. Stay away from this trash heap. I haven't played warframe so no comment

Destiny 2 in its current state is just terrible, especially for a new player. Already well into the process of circling the drain, they were clearly betting on Marathon coming out this year and being a huge hit because they are about to release an expansion in a few weeks with almost no content at all.

Warframe since you never have to spend money pretty much ever, Destiny 2 has you spend more for less each year all the while it's dying and Bungie keeps spitting on it's players. Don't bother with either though they will destroy your soul and potentially ruin your life.

They got rid of anyone with actual game making experience so starting everything from scratch or close to it like they did with Destiny 2 is entirely out of reach for them, proof is that for how many years since even Forsaken they refuse to make real new content and just recycle or rework and parade as new, or when they DO make something new it's broken as fuck and often takes months or even years to get fixed, unless it benefits the players LOL!

The only thing D3 can do is give new players a much better starting point (Warframe needs this too) but then all the old players will start screaming about carrying over their loot.

Everyone says this, but they don't factor in the time investment Warframe has.
You're going to grind in Warframe once you get to Neptune or Saturn, you're not going to coast through content and get to hop into latest patches.

No one likes Destiny's cut story model, but at least the game just throws you into the end at your own leisure.

The long term plan Bungie had was to slowly coast D2 into maintenance mode over the course of 3-4 years while siphoning off all the revenue from it into expanding the studio and launching a ton of different projects small incubation teams were working on. Ended up not working out when they burned through all of the D2 money and built up tons of debt which necessitated a rescue buyout from Sony, and then they proceeded to burn through all that money too requiring everything but Marathon get axed alongside layoffs.

You can just play public and hop in a backpack, very easy to complete all the nodes. From there, crack relics, sell them for plat, and buy whatever mods you need. The biggest time sink is the learning curve, they keep making everything else easier and easier. You don't even need to make the Voidrig anymore.

Have you ever actually played Destiny 2? They both have the same grind concept of do the same thing ad nauseam until you get the thing you want, only Destiny 2 is completely money locking you out of stuff, and while Destiny 2 you CAN fast track to the "end" you aren't actually at the end gear wise and will probably eat shit in any and all pinnacle content let alone the zenith tier of content unless you get carried

Generate hundreds of millions of dollars in profit all at once because they would have general audiences buying in again, instead of just the slowly dwindling dedicated audience buying the DLC expansions and seasons. Destiny 2 has no grind whatsoever. The game constantly power levels you up to 99% of the way to top level no matter what you do, and you don't even have to bother getting that last 1% if you have a friend that does because the game just sets everyone's power level to the highest fireteam member's now.

Would they? We're in a period now where developers don't know what to do with their online, ongoing games.
You think the established playerbase is going to jump into Destiny 3 and not kick and scream after 10 years?

Then even if it's only about new players, it's still a new entry in a series. The series needs the goodwill of previous players to bring in new players, because that's who's going to be making all the YouTube preview videos.

The reason no one jumps into Destiny now is because the current playerbase say awful things about it. YouTube comments tell you to stay away.

D1 and D2 in their release window sold ~10m copies each. The best selling DLC for D2 was around ~3m. There is a much larger audience of low information gamers out there that only play the new boxed release but then tap out before the first big expansion. Now at this point perhaps it has been long enough that things might be different, but I'd still wager they make a whole lot more money on a properly hyped D3 than any expansion they could put out for D2.

Those extra 7 million people who bought the base games but didn't ever engage with the DLC content are not on /v/, they are not on reddit, they are probably barely watching gaming YouTube content, and the content they are watching is not from the niche focused Destiny content creation community. At most these people saw trailers for Marathon on the big outlets and then tuned out from there because it did look pretty lame so didn't even catch the art stealing controversy.

Neither. Helldivers 2 is the best space warrior co-op shooty game. Free off MMORPG junk and with better gunplay than these 2 could ever dream of.

Today I sold a bunch of shit in warframe that I farmed for free and gained probably $50 worth of the premium currency I can now spend at my leisure. Sure it's grindy but warframe is objectively the most consumer friendly model out there, anyone saying otherwise is arguing in bad faith
