Yeah but we never even got Adventure 3 in the first place. 06 wasn’t it, Heroes wasn’t it, Shadow DEFINITELY wasn’t it. At this point just call it Sonic Adventure: Requiem or some dumb subtitle and give us the full ensemble cast gameplay again - Chao Garden included.

sonic adventure 1 and 2 are both pretty short games, i don't see why they think it would be some kind of titanic and mammoth effort to remake them. or just do it oblivion style and have it be the same all under the hood but with a fresh new coat of paint

Why not just hire those guys who made that knockoff Sonic Adventure with the weird looking character? I think its called Sparks or something like that. I'm sure they could do a fantastic job with remaking the games and even improving them greatly.

Here is the game I was talking about. As I looked at the video it occured to me that its almost like its a racing platformer kind of game. Seems very on rails or one dimensional. Seems very gimmicky as well especially with those boosters to make you go in the proper direction at high speeds. Its clearly taking a lot after the Adventure games and makes me realize just how much gimmicks those games also relied on to appear better than what they really were.

Still the game does look okay and they couldn't possibly do a worse job at remaking the games then that god awful Sonic Team.

Chao garden and all its mechanics was an unholy amount of spaghetti code. This is why the English version got some insane bugs in SA2 from just changing the language (e.g. the infamous corruption bug with the chao doctor).

The chao garden is good because it's integrated with the main game, and the main game feels way better to play because it rewards you in the chao garden. You can't just make a standalone chao garden, it's pointless. And making a standalone sonic adventure without the chao garden also sucks by comparison.
