I could give entire GDC talks about the failures of the 343 era but if it weren't hamfisted into the Halo IP I'd view their games more favorably
Although "good" as an overall statement, your post made me realize, would be overkill and I'd only say good variety at most
Like this shot doesn't even seem like Halo and just looks like a cool new IP and I'd welcome a refining of a lot of this aesthetic complete with its own unique setting and mechanics

And everyone rightly distinguishes between the two when talking about them, Battle Network is largely treated as it's own thing. The same thing happened with Monster Hunter and Monster Hunter Stories, people still like Stories but it's still the case that they're basically pokemon games using the MonHun IP.
