I remember seeing people say that this collection got ruined by performance issues and bugs that didn't exist before. Is this true?

not in my experience, it was just an extremely jewish move to charge full price and make it a limited time deal. being able to play mario galaxy 1 non emulated without the stupid motion bars was awesome.

You guys sure it wasn't patched or something like that? It is very jewish of them to make such a limited quantity of the games knowing they would be so sought after.

All emulation has some issues. Anyone who claims otherwise is just a giant corporate shill who has never in their life done an ironman run of a game. When you repeatedly boot up a game with full commitment to getting better, you start to see the unreliability of technology.

These are all emulated. People sent 60 dollars for roms.

No it’s not. Only the cpu code was ported. The gpu/audio is running on emulation. You spent 60 dollars on roms.

>All emulation has some issues
i think everyone agrees about this, the problem is people are paying for this garbage when it is shown that the community can do a better job than nintendo. now im not saying it needs to be perfect but it needs to be on par since they were selling this for $60

>CPU code was ported
Then it's a port retard, not emulation

they remapped the buttons on sunshine to make up for the lack of analog triggers. they added a non-motion controller mode in galaxy. the games look fine enough. it’s not like they put zero effort into these games like tossing some roms onto a cartridge. maybe that’s only the case for Mario 64

Is there any physical equivalent collection for the Zelda games? Clearly they aren't leaving money on the table right?

I'm starting to think that Nintendo expects people to simply emulate their games on other platforms such as desktop PC, Mobile PC (Steam Deck, ASUS ROG Alley etc.) so they don't even bother to try to make these games accessible on their platform.

No, the only problem it had were the debug cubes were visible during the secret levels in sunshine but nothing too crazy.

True, but nothing on the scale of what they could do now. Collector’s Edition gave you Ocarina + Majora + Zelda 1 + 2, and Wind Waker had the bonus disc with just Ocarina + Master Quest. It was sick at the time, but we’re two decades past that and they still haven’t done a proper multi-game Zelda release on Switch. Closest was Skyward Sword HD and selling you N64 Zelda behind a subscription. Total missed opportunity.

Here, I'll give you a proper run down from what I remember. The collection was patched at a later point by the way.
>SM64
Runs fine, but is at a lower rest than the other games and stuck to 4:3. The higher resolution textures they made also have some graphical glitches as they were not aligned correctly (most obviously seen in Lethal Lava Land's puzzle with Bowser on it). It uses the Japanese Shindou version which patched a lot of bugs. Otherwise it runs fine.
>Super Mario Sunshine
This one had issues on first release, it didn't even support the GCN controller properly. It was output into widescreen, but some effects like the turbo nozzle underwater was still in the 4:3 aspect ratio. The map to check your totals and the levels lagged super hard upon the transition effect. The normally invisible debug cubes were visible in Secret Courses.
That being said, Nintendo issued a patch a while later fixing all of these issues, it even supports the original GCN controller now. The only issues that persist is Sirena Beach episode 6 (you need to clean the goop within a time limit) has a random chance of saying you won within seconds even if you didn't do anything (pic related). Also these aren't bugs but they lazily cut out what buttons FLUDD says when explaining the controls and the demo footage from waiting on the title screen was cut.
>Super Mario Galaxy
I don't think this ever had issues even before any patch. The closest I can think of are the motion/gyro controls for the pointer as they had to be changed to accommodate the different technology.
