this thing is like, the ONLY modern competitive game i like

>F2P model but very fair, you can unlock a healthy arseal without paying a dime
>competitive but also kind of fuck around type of game, hell its a 3v3v3
>weapons are highly varied, from melee swords and hammers, to shotguns, grenade launchers, miniguns, etc, lots of viable builds from my experience
>destructive environments
>great customization, you can individually mix and match different cosmetics instead of having full skins

does anybody else play it?

I like it a lot but I noticed I can't play long sessions at all. It's so gameplay dense I get burnt out in 1-2 hours. In contrast I still can hit 6-8 hours of Apex Legends until I get tired. I thinking this may be what actually killed arena shooters.

My friend likes it and plays it a lot. He’s tried getting me into it a couple time but it’s just too sweaty for me, everyone is such a tryhard and it gets old. It would be fun every once in a while but I don’t want to take the time to actually get some good gear so I just don’t play it.

i just had like a 2 hour long or mroe session of The Finals, i hadnt played in a while, its just so fun, trying different loadouts and shit, desperately trying to make the KS-23 on the heavy work, to no avail

isnt it crazy how nearly every gun on the medium is effective and satisfying, while the heavy only has like 3 good weapons?

Sometimes I just feel like going full degen during the weekend. I don't really have anything else going on anyways. Also after playing for 4+ hours something clicks and next 4 hours I just roll through lobbies.

Huge downside. It is hard to rely on small team comp. Game should be 10v10.

Way too reliant on having friends you are communicating with. Game is actively un-fun playing with randoms

100% this. Solo queue in The Finals feels like volunteering for community service in clown school. Half your team forgets the point is to get cash, not play TDM, and the other half runs in 3 seconds before extract and wonders why they're getting wiped. If you don't pull in at least one buddy to queue with, you're basically flipping a coin on whether the match is even playable. Has the potential to be one of the best squad-based shooters ever but holy hell do randoms drag it down.
