Holy shit, I need to fuck her armpits
At some point in the first game I just stopped doing side deliveries as all the preppers are fucking ugly ass robots that don't ever say anything interesting and just dick-ride Sam, it's actually feels like they were all weitten by ChatGPT while the main cutscenes were done by actual people.

What the fuck? Feels like there’s barely any noise about it?
>>713957708It's a disappointment. I feel like I'm playing the exact same game with a talking doll and some shitty guns added in. It would be disappointing as a DLC but I dropped 70 bucks on a sequel that is the same shit. Not much to talk about, honestly. Story isn't any good either.

>>713957790So Kojima did a TOTK?
>>713957879Basically how I've been describing it to people, yeah. I like it and will beat it eventually, but there's just nothing here to get excited about. The new story is uninteresting, the new "combat" isn't good, the core traversal is exactly the same. It's a huge budget for a giant nothing of a sequel.
>>713956885 (OP)There are so many cutie pies in DS2. :)))
Niggers are also nearly completely absent from the game. kek
>>713957790>>713958462>core gameplay is the same, just vastly improved in the sequel OH NO NO NOFuck off, concern troll.
Me personally, I am LIVID that the sequel to my favorite game 'Purple' is purple. I was hoping for Red!
>>713958720>Vast improvementsLol. Ok, enlighten me. What "vast" improvements? Because I haven't seen them.
Is the first game any good
>>713958720>>713958849Neither of these anons own a PS5.
>>713959161Objectively it’s not good. However if you let the atmosphere take you in and legitimately enjoy it’s mundane feel, it’s a fine game.
>>713959161Objectively its a great game and anyone who says otherwise got filtered.
>game’s plot it a metaphor for Kojima finding out his child (MGS) wasn’t his all along but then rediscovering that it actually was
Bravo gozaimasu.

>>713959582Same as it ever was
>>713957879It's basically a big DLC rather than a legitimate sequel.
A real sequel is going from MGS 1 -> 2 -> 3
DS2 is basically the same game again with a new map
>>713956885 (OP)this is the game thats supposed to match gta6 graphics LMAO.
>>713957790I don't understand how it took 6 years to make when the first one only took 3.5 years. It doesnt make sense.
Zoomies, where did your armpit fetish begin? I'm genuinely curious if there's a common origin behind it.
>>713959582They’re NPCs that talk to you for 3 minutes every time you finish a delivery.
For a setting where everyone is isolated and connections are struggling, everyone sure is fucking happy and happy to chat.
>>713959582>Are there any npcs in this game or are they all just holograms again? No
>Do you ever see any of the main characters outside of cutscenes this time?Yeah, as holograms
>>713959758The game is incredibly good looking. The opening mountains are amazing.
>>713959758Honestly considering the game has nothing to render except empty landscapes it doesn't even look that good
>>713959930Yeah. I thought the opening sequence was nice but after that it just looks comparable to other Sony games. Except those have way more things going on in them.
>>713958995>>713959540>every single PCC structure has added features and functionality>melee weapons>expanded vehicle systems and customization>vehicle combat>total equipment count nearly doubled>stealth mechanic overhaul with added camouflage system>highly requested music player>revamped UI and new backpack management system>monorails>expanded environmental hazards (floods, avalanches, fires, low oxygen, heat)>actual BT variety with different types and mechanics>ghost mechsAll just off the top of my head. >>713960331not vast, you faggot
>>713958720Yes and no. It has a lot of QoL improvements which make it less of slog, and with "slog" I dont mean the actual walking, but more like everything being more convenient now. But it might also be too convenient, you have everything from perks, to vehicles, to both highways and monorails, and even fast travel with cargo, theres tons of tools and skills, and yet the game is a joke even on hardest difficulty, let alone on normal. Like, I just did the last order of chapter 4 (you have to go from F1 terminal to North Observatory), and even with the fast travel disabled, the best route is going around the black beach in the west to pick up lost cargo for the Animal Shelter, etc. The vista is cool, I had a big eartquake but it didnt affect the water levels nor has to avoid falling rocks. 2/3 begore the destination you can build an umbrella as a request from the animal shelter, and you have a Brigans camp right in front of you where you can "make your own fun", or just go around which only takes like 15 more seconds than going straight, and a few hundred meters ahead you reach the North Observatory. Using a vehicle you can finish this order while picking up everything in 15 minutes or so. Again, it depends of you wanting to make your own fun, or completisionism autism, but it feels too casualized compared to the first one, I wish he had went for a middle ground.
>>713959582Ship crew for the most part are real. You find some porters walking near some locations as well
>>713960354You would say that regardless of what was listed
Stay mad
are there any jewtube lps with just the highlights?
don't want to watch hours of walking
>>713956885 (OP)>fast travel on ship closest to your intended destination, not direct to it or you'll lose points>then open shared online player cargo on ship take all packages for intended location>take the minute trip with cargo to the location>repeat to break the core gameplay loop and farm stars for all the locationsWhy the fuck did they even allow this, it's so broken and lets you cheese the entire point of the game bypassing the traveling turning every 10-15 minute trek into a minute, you unlock a fast travel mechanic that doesn't let you take or abuse package transports with transponders anyway so what were they thinking allowing such a massive exploit with the ship
>>713957708It's a niche game. Everyone who was curious about the first one found out if they liked it or not, so mostly only fans of DS1 are playing 2. It's a refined experience but not different enough to make good conversation, the plot is meh just like DS1 and the world/lore already got discussed with 1 so nothing new to say. The people who like it are playing it, the people who don't like it are ignoring it, and the people who hate ps5 having a game they can't play are driving in a straight line hoping a turn doesn't show up before their screen catches up with their game.
>>713957708it's a ps5 exclusive
>>713957879Not quite. It's not worse than DS1, mechanically it's actually much better, but it's not fundamentally different.
Also, unlike TotK, it has a new map.
>>713960498>fast travel with cargoI stopped reading right here.
This is literally impossible for the main mission, because the Magellan will not move into areas not connected to the chiral network. Not to mention that it is impossible to get an "Legends of Legends of Legends" rating for standard deliveries, if you use the Magellan to deliver stuff.
Have you even played the game?
>>713960756This is flagged by the game as cheating (Magellan rating) and barely gives you any likes. Not to mention that not every base is easily accessible by the Magellan and it is impossible for the main quest, because the Magellan can only be moved into areas connected by the chiral network.
A major aspect of the game is to create trade routes for other porters to use. They will eventually even appear on your map. You would know all of this, if you would have actually played the game.
>>713961073Have you even read my post? In listing all the features I could think of, I even gave an example of how the fast travel doesnt work for main orders. I dont think the game is bad, on the contrary, its good but, as I said the game, it relies a lot on "make your own fun", which could be good for some but Im not a big fan. The plot can be a little underwhelming as well.
>>713956885 (OP)Woke shit
>have to play a woman in 3rd gameBravo Kojima
>>713956885 (OP)I barely played the first one until just now.
There are several reasons
>poor hardwareI was running on hardware that couldnt play it smoothly at 144 fps so the enjoyment wasnt there
>Did not get itI never built roads or much except ladders or climbing ropes and walked mostly. Playing it with a fresh approach allows me to upgrade all the roads and then easily max out star reputation at each base or npc. Its much more enjoyable now.
>avoiding mulesMules are easy to fight. I sometimes tried to avoid mule areas and walked into BT areas which are worse. Mules can easily be defeated by spamming melee, even when they get heavier armor you can walk behind or side of them and melee them. You can also just bolas them and then knock them out for good.
Anyways I have a pc that can play the 1st game and I have all the roads from lake knot to south knot finished, am working on going to the northwest waystation next.
Im annoyed at the phonecalls, story bullshit. I just wanna build roads and deliver
Does the map get more interesting?
I just beat the 2nd boss (big squid mech) and outside of Lone Commander there’s easily drivable paths to every settlement. Like fully flat smooth paths that you can drive on with zero issues. I’ve only had to use ladders/ropes once, which was Lone Commander, but I just noticed if you go the long way to him there’s a drivable route. There’s zero interesting traversal, it’s just load up bike with 6+ deliveries and drive completly unimpeded to destination.
DS1 didn’t become like this until you fully rebuilt roads and a complex zip line network, which took a ton of effort, so it felt rewarding optimising the game. But DS2 I’ve put in zero effort making routes, and I can just freely drive wherever I want. DS1 had a ton of places that were huge pains to get to, like good luck driving to Elder, even ones relatively open were a pain to drive to without huge effort put into bridges and such. DS2 has been braindead so far.
>>713960331>more COMBAT>more CARS>more WEAPONS>more MELEE>more STEALTH MECHSSo by vast improvements you mean it became every other mediocre game on the market. I already said it added a bunch of shitty guns. You know what would have been cool? New terrain. Crawling. Spelunking. Navigating through swamps. Something that actually built on the first game's unique mechanics. But you made an honest effort to respond after being called a faggot, faggot, so I'll give you a D for the effort.
>>713957708It should've been a DLC/expansion instead of a new game.
>>713962852I still find it absolutely hilarious that Snowrunner, which is a game about offroad hauling/trucking gets the overall gameplay figured out straight from the gate. Place player in a variety of environments and let them figure stuff out. In contrast Death Stranding as a franchise barely does anything interesting with its Porter premise and most of the gameplay is a superficial vehicle for Kojima's cinematic universe. It's jarring.
>>713963015Didn't Kojima say he wanted to make the game shittier because it was TOO GOOD? Could this have meant it was actually originally focused on exploration and walking, but then turned into CoD-lite?
>>713963087No, i doubt the game saw much changes in the gameplay department. What he likely meant were story elements. He had an interview a few weeks before release where he mused on the fact that he decided to rewrite the game due to the pandemic or something.
>>713961467>You would know all of this, if you would have actually played the game.Kojima haters just want to whine. They will never play the game.

>>713963364 You're not being trolled, anon - platypuses are legit the weirdest bastards in the mammal kingdom. Egg-laying mammals with venomous spurs, no nipples (they just sweat milk), electroreception, and a beaver tail. Kojima probably saw one in a documentary once and said "yes... that." Honestly feels 100% like something he'd cook up himself if nature hadn’t already beaten him to it.
>>713961467>it is impossible for the main questYes but that's not what I said, and I've played 16 hours man lol, if you fast travel to a location and try to take out player cargo you get a really low score, so you fast travel closest to the location and you get no score dock so you can abuse the shit out of it with short delivery times, it's fucking stupid you can bypass the entire point of delivering by getting easy 5 stars

>>713964703Given how autistic some of the artists are you could probably mention it to some of them and get them to draw a more accurate version
I once got an artist to do a new version of a drawing of a girl turning into a cabinet by pointing out he'd mixed centuries-seperated styles and linking some marquetry history. It wasn't even a commision, I just dropped my spaghetti in the comments.
>>713964659I do like playing the game that's the problem, the fact an exploit so easily findable that nullifies the core gameplay loop exists is disappointing
>then don't cheatKnowing it's in the game and that 'playing the right way' is just wasting time just kills the fun of playing, especially when in universe it wouldn't fucking matter, the people are still getting their packages, this really should have been found before launch, I think the Magellan teleport was a bad idea though this could be patched by disabling player cargo at the Magellan
>>713964952>>713964703 I'm actually working on a "Fiction-within-fiction" comic book series to fill out the culture of the world in the primary setting of my gay furry /hmoba/ fiction. >>713964493Australia not even once
When all is said and done DS2 will be considered an inferior game to DS1, this game is literally just DLC and lacks the moments of catharsis from the first game where you just managed to escape a BT nest.
In terms of story we have the same issue as MGSV where Fragile and Dollman are like Kaz and Ocelot and they speak a hundred times more than any of the other characters, Rainy and Tomorrow have barely even said full sentences and feel like they're only in the game for the feet scans.
>>713965727Wanna know how many times I ran into BT's in DS2?
Maybe 3.
I only triggered one unique encounter with the tar man looking thing chasing me, any other time, nothing.
The world feels even more empty and less threatening then ever before and I cant stand it, and Sam was turned into an action hero.
>>713962356Elder you could drive to. From engineer you go southeast and then at the large cyrptobiote at the base of elders hill you drive up the east face of the mountain. Didnt even need a bridge, theres basically a rock-clear path to follow.
There might be a BT zone if you drive too far south along the east side of elder's mountain.
>>713965727>catharsisYou just go forward and hold breath, same in the first game as it is in the second game. This is the same shit as people saying RE8 isn't as scary as RE7, both are incredibly scripted sequences with mediocre combat.
Fragile also barely speaks, the entire middle like 20-30 hours no one really talks to Sam in real conversations. You would think we would atleast get some interactions on the ship, and that its wild that its not fully explorable.

>>713957879>>713958462Its basically every big sequel I can think of in the last 5 years. TOTK, Ragnarok, Forbidden West, Spiderman 2. Even throw Elden Ring on it, its the same formula they've been doing but open world. Same type of combat, bosses, ideas and arguably pretty weak overall level design outside of like 4 legacy dungeons.
>>713959720MGS1-2 doesn't really count when that shift in generations was massive. MGS3 is much less of a jump from MGS2 than 2 was to 1. You get a camo system, a shit ton of menu hopping to equip them, and unless you go full lethal you won't engage with the CURE system at all outside of like 2-3 scripted story moments.

>>713969326>MGS3 is much less of a jump from MGS2 than 2 was to 1.The wound System
The eating mechanics
The camo stealth
The huge improvement in graphics, at the time it was actually massive, MGS3 looked a millions times better than MGS2
MGS3 was a legitimate sequel, MGS4 shat all over the IP and MGS/DS finished killing Kojimbo legacy
>>713957790>It's a disappointment. I feel like I'm playing the exact same game with a talking doll and some shitty guns addedThen explain how it's getting such rave reviews.
>>7139696922 of those are entirely pause menu mechanics, and like I said the CURE system basically isn't utilized outside of a few story moments because unless you just go guns blazing you really won't be shot that much. Camo system is neat, but ultimately because you need to pause feels really tacked on, you get an arbitrary number attached and in most cases 85% is basically invisible especially in grass. One of the early starts of the grass=invisible dogshit from modern games.
You don't even mention the backpack/weight system, cause its actually even more underutilized and pointless.
>NEW GRAPHICSCome on now. MGS3 was very much an iterative sequel, similar to Sly 2->3. God of War 1->2 and even 3. Or Ratchet 2->3. You get new stuff, but ultimately same game new areas/tools. DMC3, 4 and 5 add one new character each but the mission and level design and core game is the same
Iterative sequel, is iterative. Shocker. I am glad the consistency of old game good/special, new game bad keeps on keeping on cause its literally every fucking sequel.
>>713970030It's not, MGS2 was considered a shitty mess back when it released.
>>713970376All that shows is reviewers liked it more than MGS2, and reviews say DS2 is better than DS1. I do think MGS3 is a better overall game than MGS2, and DS2 is the same for me over DS1 even if I think the pacing is a bit worse and the story feels a bit filler for the middle large portion. I enjoy the map more and the new QOL.

>>713972437You're thinking of Xbox changing strategies by releasing their games at the same time on PC because of Game Pass.
Sony is still sticking to their timed exclusive release to catch people double dipping.
When did you guys realize Dollman was only made to be Sam's voice? Norman Reedus must have been busy becaue he rarely says more than one line and it's Dollman who reacts to shit. It's especially notable when all the characters go into some long ass rant about Kojimbo bullshit and all he can muster is a grunt and a couple of words.
>>713973606Hopefully they just cancel that shit. Physint is the only project of his that matters and honestly he should've just made that game already instead of making a mediocre sequel to death stranding
I'm playing the first one now and while the gameplay really clicked with me, these cutscenes are fucking killing me. I'm at the point where most game's cutscenes annoy me but this is next level boring. It's a cool setting and it's sort of vague, as it should be, but they still have me sitting there watching sam and other characters stare at their boots for thirty second in between dreary lines. The game would really benefit from extreme minimal plot and dialogue. You should feel like you go weeks without seeing a friendly face, alone with your thoughts.
>>713974339What was the point of giving Neil the Snake bandana? His character is nothing like Snake, personality wise or thematically
Is it worth it to play the Director's Cut version of the first game (I played the base game on release) or should I skip straight to 2?
>that whole sequence of connecting the 2 waystations and finally connecting F8, all while ghost mech shit you need to fight
Actually dogshit part of the game. Funny that I setup the fucking monorail to F8 earlier but game won't let you beach jump and then ride the monorail inside. Anytime the game forces combat, it conflicts with how the game actually plays and having a backpack full of shit fly around isn't fun.

>>713975589I don't think it was a money issue Lea Sedoux is a bigger name and she has way more dialogue than Sam. Kojimbo fell in love with Norman Reedus in TWD so he just thinks everyone else loves his minimal dialogue and grunts.
>>713977134>>713975589Yeah its very noticeable that Sam talks more infrequent, same as going from Hayter to Kiefer. I assume it was a schedule thing to not be able to record as much since this game was made during COVID years and later that VA strike.
I legit can't see how people saying 2 isn't an improvement over 1 aren't baiting. 2 is a fucking MASSIVE improvement over 1 in damn near every single way. >>713979336it's part of the aesthetic and feel of the game
>>713979336They are complete 3D models. Are you retarded?
>>713978261Anon it was shat out in 3 years I'm sure there was tons of stuff Kojima would've liked to have had that were left out
>>713978058Contrarian hipsters afraid of Death Stranding being mainstream, not realizing that they are the normies getting filtered again
I miss Mads. I don't give a fuck about temu snake.
Always find it super intresting how everytime a new game comes out and it's universally praises by fans and critics but DOES not have a switch release it gets shitposted to death. Really strange and intresting and makes me think why this happens hmmmmmm
>>713979748You literally only miss him for the star power. Neil's boss fights are not only more intresting mechanically but also a better written character.
I'll suck cock for ceramic and metal.
I can't play without my roads
>>713979778Insane to me how there are people out there who call themselves vidya enjoyers and only own a switch and a PC with a gtx 960. They miss out on so many kino third party games.
>>713979778
Kojima obsesses over the most mid stuff in a totalitarian way, it makes you laugh
I love the game and it's fun, I love my walking simulator it makes me relax and I like playing collectively with others for the structures
the plot, meh
but things like: woodkid, luca marinelli, the friendship with Refn
it's like he has a 90% well-made aesthetic taste, but then fumbles everything else
he's a goofy dude who thinks he's based and goes full circle, it's absurd I shouldn't like games like that
I'm in chapter 4 and Minus 61 is the only track I have on my music player.
>>713979907What was he supposed to do? Just re-use low roar again? Re-use Mads again? Stop being friends with Refn because it makes people upset for no reason?
>>713980136no, just saying I appreciate it for how obsessed it seems with B tier stuff/music/people/etc
it's pretty wholesome, but on paper when you think about it none of this should work
I don't care about Lou. Here, I said it.
>>713980626DS2 makes it hard to care about her when the plot just resets and puts her in the pod again. It's unfortunate. They should have committed to baby lou
>>713980741>>713980626I think it would be fine if Tomorrow and Sam actually interacted to build that connection, even do the reveal much earlier cause honestly it twas too obvious anyways
Do you ever get vehicle attachments that boost its max cargo? Or at least a bigger Off roader?
>>713981771Nope. You do get better tires for the off roader.
>>713978662>E33 is a game I would genuinely put in my top 10 favourite video games of all timeWas it your first jrpg style game or something?
>>713974772Oh shit nigga!
You just BLEW MY MIND!!!!
HOLY. FUCKING. SHIT!
I didn't think of that! You're absolutely right, he's NOT snake, but like ONLY snake uses bandanas! It never existed in the world before and then it was invented for Snake, and it was never used again EVER!
Holy shit anon! You must have IQ of like over 100!!!!
Have you ever though about solving the Yang–Mills existence and mass gap!? You could totally do it! Only a once in a millenia level genius could solve it but then, who else was actually capable of realizing that two different characters are not the same!
Not like there's even a single other military character or individual in all of human history that wore a bandana which, as we established, was invented purely for snake and nobody even in like society ever thought of putting on a bandana!
God damn anon! Would you like to come over to my house and fuck my sister? I can think of no other way to reward this astronomical level of brilliance!
My family shall name their first-born sons after you for as long as we exist!
>>713982192Nope so you can keep your pathetically lazy strawman to yourself cunt.
>>713980626I mean its a fetus, not a character. There's not much to care about
I hate the "make your own fun" philosophy in these type of games. I know Death Stranding has an "open world" but it barely has any incentive to fight Brigands, use perks/tools smartly, or be careful around BTs, even during main orders. Going around has 0 negatives other than having to walk/drive for 20 more seconds at worst.
>>713982226E33 fans are a cult of histrionic trannies
>>713982226Try playing Dragon Quest or something
>>713982208Not just a bandana, literally the same bandana. A type of bandana that nobody in real life actually wears
>>713982480Nah Dragon Quest is great. I'm glad E33 got you into the genre now you can enjoy the classics
>>713982480You need to lower your estrogen. It's not normal to weep over videogames
>>713956885 (OP)Have they given sales numbers yet ?
>>713982639Nah both of you fuck off. Go play some other artsy faggot game and stay out of nip games
>>713982639>>713982684I literally even said I think DS2 is better than E33 and you're still here having this pathetic mental breakdown. I'll be here enjoying some delivery kino and you'll still be a pair of seething losers. Cope.
I'm not buying because I hated higs. I was surprised to he kojima double down on that piece of shit character
>>713982856Higgs was one of the best parts of DS1
>>713982890I guess If you like "Quirky references" then sure. Every scene with that faggot was grating. Worse yet was his "acting"
>>713982927And like clockwork the projecting shitposter exposes that he has played neither game and is just here to shitpost. I don't need to pretend. I did win.
>>713982946"DURRR THIS IS A BOSS FIGHT!, VIDEO GAMES AM I RIGHT"!!
>>713983000It was also really cringe seeing him copy the old snake vs ocelot fight without there being any build up or reason to care.
It’s just terrible. I honestly would rather have had Neil as the MC and do some weird military smuggler story.
Carrying packages is ass. There’s not even any narrative incentive to do so. You don’t see towns get built up, people walking around, nothing.
It’s an awful game.
Kojima huffed his own farts too much on this. I can't stand DS2.
>>713983094You do see people walking around here and there (porters). But yeah, he shouldve done a MGS2 and after the intro, make us play as Neil or something
>>713959867Everyone is canonically hopped up on happy hormones to keep them sane.
>>713983471everyone expected it
It's impossible to pull MGS2 after two games already did it so why even try
>>713983635People even called the MGSV Medic shit well before the game came out.
>>713983075>reason to careAre we implying we should care about Ocelot who faked being controlled by Liquid, trying to do yet another attempt at Outer Heaven/world where soldiers aren't controlled by the government. People remember the MGS4 fight because of great music callbacks, and actually fleshing out the CQC. DS1, and DS2, final bosses don't have t he same callback potential and didn't flesh out the combat for a one-off boss fight.
>>713979471it was a rhetorical statement you imbecile, you don't physically interact with them like in games like fallout
>>713983635They should make you play as Higgs in the second half, once you ended up connecting everything as Sam. Imagine finishing that story for the most part around half the game, so the focus changes to Higgs with a more action priented combat with crazy powers. DS fans would hate it, but thats how you actuslly take risks unlike Kojima's fake "I dont want everyone to love it"
>>713985682I don't think it would matter, Kojima clearly isn't interested in writing even semi-normal conversations between people. You get MGS style stuff, or MGSV/DS style dialog where the protagonist barely talks to anyone and its impressive that we are somehow expected to believe they care for each other.
>>713986204le twist shit sucks too, and with how the game's movement works it would be actually shit trying to turn it into something its not. You get a few melee weapons, and they are all shit to play with
>>713986204Thing is that there are already plenty of action games with crazy powers. There are no games like Death Stranding. So why waste your second shot on something generic.
>>713986370>or MGSV/DS style dialog where the protagonist barely talks to anyone and its impressive that we are somehow expected to believe they care for each other. They do talk to each other but hide it behind 70000 tapes.
I'VE BEEN SINGING THAT SONG AGAIN
ANOTHER BALLAD THAT WON'T MAKE AMENDS
IT'S BEEN GIVING ME NIGHTMARES AGAIN
AND THEY WON'T END
>>713986584MGSV atleast, but in DS2 you don't even get that but that still leans into the don't interact with people bit. Sucks because alot of his characters 3 games in a row now feel half-baked or raw. I'd love to see a head count on how much Tomorrow actually speaks in this game
>>713972437>fund game>get 6 months exclusivitySimple.
>IT'S A VISUAL MASTERPIECE 10/10
>it's nothing but drab, empty unreal engine stock landscapes
>>713987223did you play it?
of course not
I love this game, one of my favorite games of all time desu.
>>713987223>it's nothing but buzzword buzzword buzzword buzzwordPlease don't post when you're such an ignorant nigger ape who clearly has no idea what he's talking about.
I find it strange that /v/ loves New Vegas but hates Death Stranding. They're essentially the same game, you're constantly just walking from place to place in New Vegas to do quests but NV has no interesting traversal mechanics.
>>713987860New Vegas has people you can actually talk to and change the outcome.
>>713987860You constantly encounter actual characters in New Vegas with interesting stories and original dialogue. In DS it's just fucking ugly humans that talk like robots and never say anything interesting.
>>713987860>but hates Death Stranding/v/ doesn't hate it though
>>713987860Kojimbo writing.
>>713956885 (OP)You need Jesus
>>713987860dont worry i hated both of them
>>713957879Kill yourself autist
>>713959763Covid, there are interviews where he's said this sequel was supposed to be out by 22-23 but it got derailed heavily by the coof
>>713969873Game is tailored for journalists
>>713959582everyone is a hologram. all the crew members apear ONLY in random cutscenes after some deliveries to spout some giberish that makes no sense and then do a backflip or some shit. the only person you can talk to is dollman who gives you random one liners about this or that in your room. sam talks like 10 sentences the entire game. god i miss the codec conversations. hes so under used...
>>713973956Its surreal. I bet they had some sort of falling out. Or maybe sony wouldnt pay him enough
>>713982856higgs barely does anything in this game
>>713994350>sam talks like 10 sentences the entire game.Grim
>>713986803Just who is pulling your strings?
Is it possible to cut the umbilical cords on Watchers (the tall BTs with eyes)? I can't seem to get the prompt no matter how close I get (boomerang equipped)
>Neil Cuckman
How did Kojima get away with this?
Im like half way through and it feels so vapid and soulless. The plot makes no sense. None of the important or new phenomenon are explained, reading the corpus everything is like "its mysterious", or "noone knows" or "some say" or some other vague shitery. And kojimbo just keeps stacking more and more on top.
Sure the cutscenes are sometimes cool looking but its all empty and missing real story conection and impact. Sam has no personality. So many copy pasted "bosses".
It feels like a mid dlc expansion but its not. In reality with all the recycled systems, mechanics and assets this aaa game still to kojimbo like 6 years to complete. Depressing.
>>713995878>Im like half way throughNo you aren't lmao you haven't even touched this game
>>713995195Once you get the boomerang you can cut the umbilical cords on normal sized gazers (the DS1 BTs) but not on the watchers
>>713974913Take the back pack off before you fight, fignut.
>>713987223The game is in the Decima engine.
>>713995878Someone tell the expedition 33 discord that these posts are way too cookie cutter
>>713987223if it were stock unreal the physics would be different and the landscapes would actually look worse, you can talk a lot of shit on it but it does look good
>>713959867>For a setting where everyone is isolated and connections are struggling, everyone sure is fucking happy and happy to chat.gee, i wonder why they are happy to chat for 3 minutes when they haven't had anyone by to talk to in weeks. a real thinker that one is.
Is it ever worth completing a delivery for a location that already has five stars?
>>713974339>Neil VanaWhat was Kojima thinking?
>>713969692>MGS3 looked a millions times better than MGS2Looked somewhat better at half the framerate.
