GW is run by complete fucking retards who think their entire business is just to sell models. If they had an inkling of intelligence they would realize that trying to vet developers and secure some decent video games would let them advertise and generate revenue at the same time, and then they could lower their model prices (yeah right) to sell more. Truth is they realize their core audience is addicted to plastic minis and they price gauge all they want, but the HOBBY itself is prohibitive to your average person. They will never get those vaunted mainstream audience interested in their bread and butter. In a roundabout way they've made the correct choice - nickel and dime your core audience which is more than willing to cover the price hikes, and license secondary shit for everyone else since it requires zero effort on GW's part.
