Biggest problem for Crash is that he has been bounced around so much, and the moment he had good chances of returning, Activision STILL bounced him through 3 different studios, Vicarious Visions, Beenox, and then Toys for Bob. It is fucking amazing because VV did okay job with N.Sane Trilogy, mainly by not fucking it up(I do have lots to criticize on art department) and Beenox did excellent job with CTR:NF. But despite having now two studios who were familiar with Crash, they still threw him to another studio who went in questionable directions and fucked it up.
I'm not sure who the intended audience for Crash 4 was.

I just don't understand. The grind is on OSRS level but you have no cool unlocks. But if you just play to end without caring about gems etc. the game is over in like few hours. It's worst of both worlds.

Because nobody in their right mind would make a game like that. They didn't even know themselves what to call it or how to describe it.
"Platformer Battle-Arena". They could've maybe make it work by bringing more franchises in and making it some crossover game aka Smash, and even then it would been a big MAYBE.
But it fucking died because of the idiot live service model where the game had too little content for it's own good and was online-only basically.
When will they learn that people don't have time to marry a new live service slop as their "That game" anymore? Crash didn't have YET that kind of pull and probably now never will have.
Seriously no PC port hurt it more than enough. Idgaf if they didn't do it because "no analog controls". Shut up reeeeeee people have controllers and can play on wasd + mouse camera easily enough.

While I would've liked Crash Bash remake as well, the game isn't good. I loved it as a kid and played it way too much, but they would need to really change it to be a good product. Some Twinsanity remake could've worked *bit* better but still would need fuckton of rework and rewrites and bring old source code and stuff to work.

I just dunno. I wish Crash was back proper. Now they use him for AI ads.
