With better hardware, and more games having come out all these years, people expect more. People often demand a justification for a long wait. If what people wanted was just another metroid prime game, why couldn't they have released this on the Wii U?
Take Half Life 3. If it got released and looked marginally better than HL2 EP2 and was mostly similar gameplay wise, fanboys would be ecstatic, but most people would have moved on to other games, thinking "is this what we waited 20 years for?" HL2 is an amazing game, but wouldn't you want a better product worthy of that waiting period? Have long awaited sequels and remakes gotten so shit that now the standard has been lowered to "it needs to be like the old one"?

So what it's just graphics fagging? Because I'm at a loss for what people expect from this. It's Metroid Prime. Everything we've seen looks like a Metroid Prime game. If they showed a trailer and it didn't look like a Metroid Prime game then I'd be doomposting.
Outside of maybe the psychic bullet thing being a little meh I have no reason to be upset by what I've seen so far
