What is the point of this? Like most people I buy a game, play it for a couple of evenings or until I feel I got my money's worth and move on to the next thing. If I ever got the urge to replay some game I bought 15 years ago I'd probably wait for a remaster at that point. Simply because I don't have the patience to try and solve all of the compatibility issues that I'm going to encounter by attempting to run software that was designed for ancient hardware. This really is a nothingburger.

Someone else might want toplay it in the future, and if they bought the loicense fair and square there shouldn't be planned obsolescence bullcrap in the product getting in the way. That or make it abundantly clear that you're renting with a clearly defined end.

literally its the same reason that people bitched out apple for not letting people repair their phones or making people use lightning cables rather than usb c

No one really cared about this movement so they had to pay someone to give it exposure, so they gave Pirate Software a bunch of money to attack the movement

He did it for free and now he will be known as a ferret fucker who cant finish making a single indie game and actively sabotaged a consumer protection inniative just because his either a giant retard or pretending to be one in order to simp for his industry buddies.

>until I feel I got my money's worth
This is some serious brainrot way of thinking
When I buy something, I don't evaluate it based on the amount it costs and how much hours I get out of it. What matters is that I paid for it, I should now own the game and I can play it whenever I want. Even if I don't play it now, I can play it 10 years later, because I OWN IT.

And you should never have to "wait for a remaster" when you could play the game immediately, compatability issues are incredibly rare and most games that have them are nearly 30 years old, when the technology was vastly different from the generalized stuff we have right now, where every game uses the same engine with some tweaks here and there. Also, we've reached levels of graphical fidelity where a remaster wouldn't change anything. Graphics have plateaued and the only thing that matters is art style.

>nothingburger
Faggots keep using this word as if it meant something. Go back to watching twitch streamers for 12 hours straight, retard child.

What's wrong with that?
Why are you against consumers owning the products they paid for?
