Is the Ace Attorney Trilogy worth playing?
Yeah,
AA2 can be a bit tough at times, but the last case is really good.
They're fun mystery adventure games. They go on sale all the time, and the tutorial does a good job of selling you on the concept. Buy it on Steam, check out the tutorial, it runs on basically every device, and if it's not your thing refund it.
>>713978586 (OP)It's easy to argue it's the best VN trilogy of all time. It's held up incredibly well.
>>713978586 (OP)Only if you know japanese, don't read the translations.
Get all of them.
They are almost perpetually on sale on one platform or another.
They're really good. Also, don't play them in japanese like these retards said.

>>713979517I honestly don't know which one is better AA1 or AA2. Rise from the Ashes greatly improves first game.
Make sure to also buy the masterpiece that is Ghost Trick!

Does von Karma's ATM card's password ever come up as some sort of evidence in later cases?
>>713978586 (OP)First trilogy : kino
Second trilogy : slop
Investigations : boring slop
Great : start slow but gets better (the game has a very bad case of spending too much effort on the setup). Also Victorian era is kino.
Vs Layton : the puzzles and the main mystery are Layton-bad, but the trials are decent. First occurrence of the multiple testimonies system.
>Bonus Ghost Trick : GOAT
>>713988298von Karma was bullshitting the court just to make his point that the safe combination alone didn't mean anything. In most countries you don't actually get to pick your PIN code. Also I believe his response for the other option was saying his daughter's niece has a dog named Phoenix, which is obviously silly because we meet his daughter in AA2 and she's nobody's aunt.
Im still mad they didn't use the translations they had from the DS ports, that didn't make any sense
