BL problem is the owner of the company is a corporate lapdog. This game was very unique for its time and even today there aren't many games like it. But after Deep Rock and that furry game I don't see the point of BL as a franchise anymore. It's like, co-op is bullshit and there's all that LA stench in the game.

I don't really know. gunplay feels like shit. every mission is exactly the same. it's a non stop grinding simulator. maybe it's only fun with friends.

Everything except the writing is great in the game

>Gunplay sucks

Bloom is bullshit but the lack of hitscan weapons is commendable. All weapons feel unique

>Grinding

With the exception of TPS none of the games are grinding in the normal playthrough. Only in UVHM and not co-op is it also bullshit.

They did a pretty unique shooter gimmick where you used a wide variety of weapons with randomly generated stats and some lite RPG mechanics. I didn't play Borderlands 3 and beyond but 1 was released in 2009 and 2 was released in 2012, they were basically products of their time.

Post apocalyptic games were a big thing at the time and it claimed to be one but the gameplay was pretty aolid so people like it despite it not being one.

>BL1
Opening chests and having orgasms over finding cool as fuck weapons
>BL2
Killing the same boss over and over again with a DLC quest weapon that you never turn in and never get the drop you want
>Pre-Sequel
Nonstop seethe over Claptrap and Lilith
>BL3
Nonstop seethe over likeable characters being killed off

Had fun in BL2 but it just went on and on. Clearly wasn't designed for single player either.

Cool and unique looking co-op looter shooter in a Mad Max/ Fallout style post apoc scifi world. Easy to understand why it gained fans.
