Splatoon 3 is the only Switch 1 game that got a free patch to 4K on Switch 2 and it isn't an Enhanced Edition game either. All Splatoon games run the town hub at 30FPS, except now Splatoon 3 runs at 60 in the town hub. This is the most dramatic free patch out of all of Nintendo's 1st party games. Mario Wonder used to run at dynamic 1080p60FPS where it only dropped resolution in the overworld. The Switch 2 free patch removes this issue. In addition I recommend Nintendo engineers a solution that places this in the System Menu: "Force Docked Profile State in Switch 1 BC games", as it implies whenever you play a Switch game 1 in portable mode it'll force the game to think it's playing in TV mode. This is a massive big upgrade and easy fix for all games, including 3rd party games.
Here are my list wishlist for EASY 4K 60FPS patches for Nintendo 1st party ggames
>Luigi's Mansion 3 >Xenoblade 1, 2, and X>Bayonetta 3 (only needs higher res and portable mode needs 1080p)>Pokemon Sword, Legends Arceus >Paper Mario Thousand Year Door RemakeXenoblade 1 won't really improve more than it already has, the game is a remake on Switch. A lot of you guys misunderstand what these patches do, they're not 4K patches. Let's take this hilarious example, Mario Rabbids XCOM RPG on Switch 1 ran at 30FPS. But on the Switch 2, with zero patches, the game runs at 60FPS locked. It turns out Ubisoft used Double V-Sync. If the game has a hard coded framerate cap, all the patches do is remove it. If the game uses dynamic res like Bayonetta 3, the added horsepower prevents the game from triggering its dynamic lower res. Animal Crossing New Horizons might be a great candidate for 4K 60FPS free patch too now that I think about it. GameFreak has zero reason not to upgrade their Pokemon games to 60FPS minimum.
>>713995571Metroid Dread runs at 900p60FPS locked in TV mode in Switch 1 already. Prime 1 remake might get a 120FPS mode if Nintendo is smart about shilling Prime 4 marketing right away.
