what drives so many speedrunners towards cheating? random who's that get hacks for call of duty or something I can wrap my head around since they are actively playing against other people in real time and want to win with minimal effort and the odds of getting caught are pretty slim these days unless you're intentionally flaunting it. speedrunning though is so filled to the brim with literal autists and everything about submitting and uploading scores/speeds is so regulated and investigated that any effort to cheat is going to eventually get revealed.
