Sometimes I remember how BoTW was on the Wii U and only enforced the realization that the Switch has no games.

you do know there's forks for both yuzu and ryujinx that are still being updated and you can still use the latest version of every switch emulator
nintendo suing them doesn't remove the program from anyone's computer or prevent it from being uploaded
but cemu is better for BotW emulation either way

BotW is literally better in every single way, how did they fuck TotK up so badly?

I put like 400 hours into botw (switch and cemu) and about 10 into totk.

They could have killed two birds with one stone and fix the food spam issue by limiting in combat healing to stuff you put in bottles. Give one bottle on the plateau and then have nine sidequests reward a bottle too. Hookshot and upgrades for it also could have been sidequest rewards somewhere as well, the idea that it would be broken is invalidated by Revali's Gale existing. Last thing would have been keeping the magic meter (which was in the game at one point based on TGA footage), which could be used to power elemental arrows instead of having those as separate items, hell make a magic wand as a permanent item too that gets upgraded via side quests instead of just being dropped weapons.

Three little changes that would have massively increased the variety of rewards in the game while maintaining the core design philosophy of granting all the necessary tools at the start of the game.

Getting one shotted by everything is not fun. It gets better the more you play it but for the first 10 hours or so I avoid combat or just abuse archery bullet time until you get enough hearts and armor to be able to take at least 2 hits.
