Don't compare building some flying craft, sticking a korok on it, launching it, then steering to the destination - to using a ladder, or spend ages making roads just to drive across it faster (you're still holding the joystick forward, just for less time)

What do you mean? You can kill the enemies. Hell, you can even kill the enemies in 2 despite all the guns allegedly being non-lethal. It's actually a lot easier in the sequel now to kill without consequences.
