Not a single one of these games are like Rogue. No one using these terms has played Rogue, most dont know what Rogue is. Entire industry went to shit after Totalbuscuit died he was keeping it together.

It's not that hard. Roguelikes are a genre of games that are literally like rogue. Roguelites are like a modifier you have to apply to a existing genre i.e. my indie FPS with roguelite elements such as procgen and permadeath.
If I say my game is a roguelike that should tell you right off the bat it's some sort of autistic procgen turnbased gridbased dungeon crawler. If I say my game is a roguelite, that doesn't really help at all because it could be anything.
In the end it doesn't really matter and you can actually just use them interchangeably because roguelikes aren't popular enough for anyone to care except point it out every now and then like a vegan lmao
