Like yeah the first 10 hours are gonna suck, the loot will be boring, mobs will be simple, etc. ARPGs literally don't get good until you've cleared normal at minimum and started hard/hardest/hell runs. It also helps if you play them hardcore, because then every boss fight win feels like an achievement instead of a chore
