If you're the kind of person that values exploration, visuals, and good comfy/soulful music it's easily the greatest game.

I tried Genshin but hated all the daily chores. Took me like 30 mins or more to burn through them. I stopped playing after getting to the chinese tree

the commissions? they are pretty quick, plus they changed it so any playing of the game builds "long term encounter points" you can use to instantly claim commissions instead of doing the repeatable quests you can just do actual quests, open chests, ect, you just need to use your daily resin in whatever way you want to cash in your encounter points, a nicer change they did a year or two ago. (for example if you have the condensed resin recipe unlocked you can log in, condense your resin so your not capped, instantly claim commission credit, and log off in 5 minutes or less and use the condensed resin when you have time)

also Mondstadt and Liyue is easily the worst part of the game. i still found it funny but all the newer shit is way better.

after thinking about it, I guess it makes sense since 1.0 was when the game was brand new and they weren't even sure if it was going to be a success
it wasn't until 2.0 and onwards that they started fleshing out the mini towns.

also kinda unrelated but they sure did drop the ball with fontaine's above ground areas, everything else was great though.

Yeah, Liyue, that's it. And by daily chores I meant it took me ages to run to battle points (?) to dump stamina. I mostly wasn't really able to dump it faster in those arena battle things but I'm more than willing to give it another try with some advice. I have my nigga diluc maxed out for my level and the random NPC jobbers for the rest of the party. Haven't played in years, but I installed it recently to dump a few rolls on the chubby cow broad who demands impregnation.

I play ZZZ and HSR for reference so you can spoonfeed me terms using those as comparisons.

same as single player except you get divided up playable units, most of the time people don't play into synergy so you perform worse than solo.

it has been getting better over the years but you can't do everything co-op.

best use case is if you want to mess around or want to take materials from someone elses world they don't need (yes people can take your shit that takes 2 days to respawn)

fastest new region you are allowed to fuck around in is Chenyu Vale to the west of Liyue, it is self contained and you can access it fairly early on.

it is much more modern than the 1.X areas and the chest reward primogems are better too. it was added as part of fontaine but is an extension of Liyue essentially.

give that region a try and see if your opinion of the game changes.

They haven't added a good area since Sumeru and I would argue the last time exploration was fun was 2.8
The design philosophy changed massively and the game is not as good now

I played it and got tired of it. It's just more open world crud and you have to grind.

I'd rather play a better MMO or a JRPG with more variety and less grind. At least in an MMO you can play with strangers.

It became much more streamlined and on-rails. The worst was last year's summer event, which was basically just a theme park ride.

It started out as a copy of Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild. Wuthering Waves and Tower of Fantasy have better combat and terrain traversal. Dragon Sword will be even better. Plenty more Breath of the Wild/Genshin Impact inspired games are on the way.
