What worlds do you want to see in Kingdom Hearts 4?

Id like to see them let that once good but now shit franchise and name (along with final fantasy) just die respectfully and with a little dignity without milking another 10+ sequels from it where the quality tangibly gets lower and lower and story increasingly more convoluted with every iteration. Not everything needs to have 30 installments and run for multiple decades

Nothing wrong with franchises being long running it just has to you know remain consistently good which is something Nomura and the hacks at Square Enix are terrible at.

And here's the bad thing about Nomura you know how in movies or comic books when something becomes shitty it gets rebooted into something good? Batman and Robin was a bad movie and it killed the franchise of Batman films until Nolan rebooted the franchise into a new successful series of movies. That's not what Nomura does, Nomura allows the series to get bad and he will continue maintaining the bad writing, bad continuity, convoluted mess into one product. Nomura does not admit mistakes were made and instead insists on doing the wrong thing repeatedly. That's what has damaged Kingdom Hearts in the long term.

And this is why I think Kingdom Hearts 4 is going to sell like shit. After so many years of bad ideas and bullshit I think the fandom has largely grown up burned out and no longer care about Kingdom Hearts. And newcomers have less reason to care about a convoluted old series. So Kingdom Hearts 4 will probably sell terribly.

One final thing, Final Fantasy's latest games have sold disappointingly for Square Enix and the Final Fantasy brand has always been the best pillar franchise Square Enix has sales wise. Kingdom Hearts is usually considered the third pillar series, if Final Fantasy has disappointing sales in recent times then Kingdom Hearts will start to sell abysmal by default.

We are witnesses the death of Kingdom Hearts. And I don't blame Disney for mismanagement.

Only the shittiest Didney films are fit to be bless KH4. All worlds should be based on their colossal fuckups / box-office bombs

They will never use the Live Action Remakes because they would need to pay royalty money for the likeness of real actors. That alone is why Disney will never approve of using those specific movies. It's one thing for Pirates of the Caribbean since its not a remake and its a one off world.

To make a full Kingdom Hearts game where most of the worlds are based on live action remakes? Disney would be hard pressed as they hate paying actors for their likeness. In fact that's one of the reasons the main actress from Enchanted got rejected for the Disney Princess brand, Disney didn't want to pay her royalties for her likeness not even in her 2D animated design.

And speaking of which they will never use Pirates of the Caribbean again because Johnny Depp now hates Disney because Disney believed his evil ex wife about him being a criminal. So he will never give them his approval to use his likeness.

The sad thing is Kingdom Hearts 4 is the START of a new arc.

That means KH4 will end on another cliffhanger. And because the fandom is old and exhausted they are more than likely going to get more burned out. Even series like God of War knew how to conclusively end the Greek era games so that when they started the Norse era games fans were happy to give it a chance. Kingdom Hearts is a continuous mess without a break with constant important shout outs to the older games as well further convolution things for the gamer.

I just don't see a world where Kingdom Hearts 4 is a blessed celebrated game that makes most people happy.

With remakes its a hit or miss. TLK for example despite being souless had no controversy attached to it, so it made a billion AND got a fucking sequel/prequel that retconned established story arcs. Snow White failed cause it looked ugly, the actress was ugly and literal cancer and Gal Gadot is a kike. LIlo and Stitch succeeded because again, no backlash and Stitch is an easy sell to kids and adults. You know what other remake did well despite several raceswaps? How to Train your Dragon and thats because again NO controversy or bad PR. Just people showing up for a job.

Jungle Book would be nice. Robin Hood has no chance because its considered a Dark Era Disney film. And Pocahontas is not considered a success for Disney due to the controversies. And Sora is a white dude so his presence will be problematic since whites defeated the Native Americans.

IMO its a bit of both. Both Square and Disney's dwindling popularity makes the idea of KH4 being a starting point for new players even more laughable than the fact Nomura choose to keep Sora and made the plot an extension of mobile/browser game bullshit.

If new Disney movies and Square games aren't actually popular then the crossover concept just won't have any appeal to people who aren't already in.

I don't blame Disney because for the majority of the series existence they aren't involved in the creation process of each new game. And its really up to Square Enix to make something decent to sell to customers.

And that's why I can't blame Disney. The only thing Kingdom Hearts related I will blame Disney about is how annoying Frozen was in this series. That's it. The rest is all Square Enix's fault. And what makes me angry is Square Enix could in theory make Kingdom Hearts a success with minimal Disney or no Disney but they simply don't use talented employees.

So now Kingdom Hearts is a mess. Doesn't matter what Square Enix does it will be diminishing returns until the series fizzles out and discontinues. This is why we have a lot of fans who say stop playing after Kingdom Hearts 2. Seriously Xehanort was always a good guy who wanted to rescue the world from Darkness? Come on!

You have no idea how correct you are and how much the fandom defends Nomura's terribly writing of Sora. I can't stand how Sora doesn't mature mentally. Even if had Peter Pan syndrome like he literally cannot age the whole sense of wonder at seeing repetitive things would go away. Example Sora being impressed Elsa can use ice powers, what the hell is that? Sora himself can use the element of ice and the other elements altogether. So acting wowed is meh. Same to other things like Sora being fanatical over seeing a robot or pirates in Kingdom Hearts 2 when he already met pirates in the first game.

What's next? When Sora lands in Zootopia he's going to say he always wanted to be a furry? Oh right he already became on in Lion King's world. It's like Nomura doesn't understand how the human brain gets numb due to repetitive experiences. And Sora suffers a lot as a character because of that.

Truth be told I don't like how the characters look in Kingdom Hearts anymore and I mean even the cartoony ones like Donald and Goofy. The lack of artistic touch really hurts the charm of this series, the old PS2 games looked better.

But she let things go too fast, she didn't fully consider the consequences (lucky for him, it was only gaining fairy touch power to feel forest's pain) and she doesn't even know him that well (he proves this soon after).

Zack and her look to be around college age which is when hormones balanced with maturity where risking fucking happens most.

Works as an interesting allegory for how humans fuck nature. When Crysta finds out who he really is, she feels used and manipulated. It's why stopping Hexus isn't enough to make up for what Zack's done. To fully amend, he must leave her (no more fucking nature and the fairy).

I just want Sora and co's presence to be felt in the worlds like with the toy story and big hero six worlds. most of KH3 was a fucking travesty
