Anyone who thinks switching between weapons first to cheese Spark Mandrill is significantly different from skipping the boss is dogshit at the game, you even get to fight all the bosses in the sigma stages so finding out which ones are weak to what is simply a matter of switching between every weapon you already have.

big fan of DS1 and yeah 100% this, the boss fights are garbage. The only okay one is the early game one where it turns the floor into goo and u have to climb on buildings and shit. The war sections are a decent idea in theory but play super bland and annoying and every other boss fight is just annoying. Higgs fighting game section gets a mild pass but god yeah its so hard to give any props to bosses in these games. The fact that they're kinda shit adds to it though. Its like when u play a classic old jrpg and get to the horrible minigame section that u have to complete to progress. Half of death stranding being dumb and bad is what makes the good elements so intruiging and gives it that unique experience.
