Realistically (other than reversing the latest update) what can be done to improve the mixed reception to Mario Kart World? Free DLC? It seems like a lot of people just do not like the open world gimmick they went for or at least the extent to which it's there. This is arguably the worst received Mario Kart title in the series' history.

I doubt Nintendo cares that much about some youtubefags or twitterfags or 4chanfags or whatever the fuck downvoting their game. You have to remember how irrelevant we+reddit+these pockets of twitter are.

To put it in perspective, it's like if someone on bluesky started complaining about a celebrity actor. Would you be worried about that?

Have KOT and Free Roam the only gamemode with intermission tracks.
Have online do only 3 lap tracks and make standard cups be only tracks + free tracks so we donโ€™t do repeats.

>online lobbies are dead, difficult to get any more than 10 players in a room
>the few remaining players will immediately swarm around any offered 3-lap course like ravenous piranhas
>even niche communities unaffected by the patch like /v/eekend are dwindling
>almost every major content creator for the game hates it
>every forum known to man is shitting on it endlessly
yep totally a minority bro
