>>714107364Quite literally every single boss in both Canto VII and Canto VIII gained buffs if a sinner died regardless of the method how. This easily could make the fight capitulate as some bosses end up becoming absolute fucking monsters (Lei Heng and Dulcinea respectively), if you let more than 1-2 sinners dies. This is normally offset with a good team comp and proper clashing and handling of mechanics, but when you add in the pure RNG of key clashes getting fucked over by the so called "5%" meme it means the fights tend to become lost causes by that point.
There is literally no fucking boon in it all, and the only fucking reason I can imagine Kim constantly pushing this shit is purely for MD and RR, because Canto content actively fucking punishes you for letting sinners die regardless of what strategies you are using. Some fights can be brute forced in spite of it, and others become next to impossible (much like trying to use a sinking team against BHK). It's fucking stupid. I'm willing to bet you Canto IX is going to be exactly the fucking same--bosses that ramp up dramatically when one or more sinners die AND have a fuck ton of unbreakable coins that shit out painful statuses and make every fucking fight a god damned headache because in the end it always always always becomes a matter of "win clashes and Evade spam unbreakables".
