>>714070424always been such a nonsensical argument since no game works like that. It's a game, you can't go around 1 shotting shit outside of joke game modes like Heaven and Hell in DMC.
And then people who never actually played the game say "uh bro jedi outcast and jedi academy have REAL lightsabers!"
No they don't you fucking mouthbreathers that's a fucking console command/cheat mode you need to enable, otherwise they're also "baseball bats".
Also, for anyone who cares about autistic star wars ranting, light sabers were never supposed to be ultimate "cuts through anything" japanese folded 1000 times weapons. They were swords, made of a laser, and acted like that. It wasn't until the sequel trilogy that they started using it in ridiculous ways like cutting open blast doors, and even then it's very slow and methodical. We saw in episode 5, Luke wants to take down an ATAT on Hoth. Does he just cut it's very available leg and fuck up wires? How about getting on top of it and disabling shit? No, he jets up to a hatch, the weakest part, and pops it open by destroying the lock. Or in the same movie where he fights vader and full on smacks him on the arm and it bounces off his armor only slightly wounding him and in episode 6 he needed a full swing straight down to cut off his hand at the wrist, the thinnest part of his arm.
>oh uh if you read the novel that came out 10 years later it's special light saber resistant armorCool, retroactively changing shit to fit narrative changes is gay and I don't accept it. Within the context of it being a video game that needs some form of balancing, and also that armor can at least slightly deflect light sabers, him not 1 shotting storm troopers/them having something made of something that can help deflect a light saber blow isn't so unfeasible it somehow ruins suspension of disbelief, especially in the first game when he's been out of practice for 6 years after being a literal 10 year old.
