Are handheld emulator machines worth it? This one is supposedly powerful enough to emulate up to PS2 and GCN games but has something like this been a gamechanger for anybody who purchased one?

You're not going to re-experience your childhood by playing games from your youth on a shitty handheld while commuting to your soulless job.

I like the size and battery life, but until PC emulation is half-decent you're better off with a steam deck

ps2 emulation looks good enough. running blak 2006 it outputs what looks like 40-50 fps and that's with higher resolution

Is it worth picking one up if I work from home?

That thing can emulate ps2/GC/Wii full speed and upscaled. It's so beefy it can even emulate windows games like Skyrim. However the battery sucks on the Mini and it's pretty expensive. If all you care about is ps2 and GC there are way more alternatives out there that are also way cheaper.
