Its the same as every "live service" game, people will pay attention again when there is new content. As soon as a new character or map gets released people will log back in again

Highest player count is 644,269 when it first came out now the highest player count is 69,669 that's an 89% loss in player base.

Rivals is in the same life support spot as Overwatch with seasonal upticks with updates but it will never have 700,000 concurrent player high it had at release.

A single player game if you had Marvel Rivals kind of player count trajectory then you're game would be considered an overwhelming success since you already got Player's $60-$100 per copy sale.

As F2P game you live and die by high player count, less players = less money = less development resources = fewer updates = even less players which is a vicious cycle that overwatch has been trying to get out of.
