Yes and no. Some games are basically dependent on zeitgeist. As digital entertainment, they're also dependent on the hardware platform and in some cases may not be feasible to maintain or replicate. In those cases, well, don't cry because it's over, smile because it's happened.
If no such reasons exist however I can see the argument.

only a problem for consolefags
I can download, install, and play every single game I own on steam, and if the servers are taken down I can play on private servers
you will never live this life of royalty as long as you're a consolefag

Only literal bootlickers, contrarians, and turd worlders would disagree. If buying games doesnt give us ownership then pirating them isnt stealing. They cant have it both ways. Im so fucking tired of the almost non existent consumer protection laws in North America; mega corps have gotten way too uppity.

love it when you buy a game on steam, but it still forces you to launch games through some zimbabwe fucking 3rd party launcher. it's even better when ranjesh updates the launcher, breaking some old games in the process, and they just dont even fucking notice / care.

There should be a warning for that, like there is for EULA and for Kernel level anti-cheat.

This is such a dumb fucking argument and it's a true testament to how stupid piratefags are. People still still say you "stole" a haircut if you were to walk out without paying. Just because something is a service it doesn't mean you suddenly don't have to pay for it.
