the fact that she doesnt keep trying to invade you on your way to the erd tree is such a missed opportunity. she really seems to be trying real hard to kill you like she said she would.
also obviously a missed opportunity for some kind of interaction for saving her with the frenzied flame but then purging yourself of it

Melina should have been summoned every time you leveled up as a way to ingratiate her to the player more.
At least give her more dialog than just channeling Marika at random churches.

Could have also had her ride on the back of Torrent with the Tarnished when just riding outside of combat, maybe sharing some lore about whatever zone you're in.

That'd be great, but Elden Ring is supposed to be pretty lonely. In another series for sure.
I think bringing her up around the bonfires keeps that lonesome feeling without leaving her forgettable.
