In my mind youtuber lets plays have two eras. Pre and post Omori. Pre Omori there was a drive, a desire to keep up with the popular games and be viewed as relevant. When Omori came out I was shocked that literally NONE of the big tubers played it. On release it was quite the buzz, it seemed everyone was talking about it non stop for about half a year. I think Omori was the game that made them realize they didn't have to put in that level of effort anymore, they could do whatever the fuck and they'd still get payed for it. Post Omori their really isn't any drive to be a good letsplayers anymore, you're either a slop slinging React Andy or trying to start your own doomed from the start business.
Basically I think they went "Wait I didn't actually have to play that... I wonder what else I don't have to play"
