I watched the Phantom Menace in theaters last year for the May 4th thing, and holy shit it was such a boring slog of a movie.
Liam Neeson was the only saving grace, Qui-Qon should have gotten his own solo movie.
What made it worse was everyone in the theater unironically started clapping when the movie was over.

A Sith is a dark side user who follows a specific philosophy.
It's possible to be both, like Vader

Its owned by EA/Disney, not Microsoft Forgotten empires. Their was an old post made by the AoE dev's on how they wanted to make a remaster and they contacted EA (who had all starwars game rights at the time) and got ghosted. Dont think they've tried again since EA lost the rights.

Sith is what you call yourself when you really want to stick it to the Jedi. If you look through the EU, you'll find that "Sith" doesn't really mean shit because pretty much every incarnation is entirely independent. It's just groups of Force users, whether they be fallen Jedi or otherwise, who decide they want to call themselves Sith (and if they care to, with rationalization as to why they're real Sith and the other guys before were phonies). They're the guys who still make red artificial lightsaber crystals because they feel like it's a power move (because that's the only color that was possible originally and the Jedi hoarded all the real crystals).

Dark Jedi are just Dark Side Force users. They can be Sith and they can be former Jedi, but there's no real rule. They'll probably still use red lightsabers though because it's cool.

It changes depending on the lore. Recently it was said that the clones were forced into it despite their feelings. But IIRC before that it was simply something they did since it was built into them and it was alluded to in the Battlefront II (pandemic) 501st diaries when they killed Aayla Secura that it was like that

The prequels had a talented cast. Portman, McGregor, McDiarmid, Sam Jackson. Itโ€™s just that Lucas is such a terrible director and was given complete control over these movies with no one to shake him and say โ€œthis makes no sense.โ€ Also the overreliance on CGI made it hard for the actors to show any proper emotion. Howโ€™re you supposed to react to stuff as an actor if all youโ€™re seeing is a ginormous green screen?

>"What I remember about the rise of the Empire is... is how quiet it was. During the waning hours of the Clone Wars, the 501st Legion was discreetly transferred back to Coruscant. It was a silent trip. We all knew what was about to happen, what we were about to do. Did we have any doubts? Any private, traitorous thoughts? Perhaps, but no one said a word. Not on the flight to Coruscant, not when Order 66 came down, and not when we marched into the Jedi Temple. Not a word."

The 501st diaries were great. We were supposed to get a Battlefront III from Free Radical that was going to be insane but it was scrapped when Disney acquired the rights. That thing was going to have space to ground seamless combat. You were honest to god going to fight in the Episode III battle of Coruscant on both fronts at will. And the worst part was that the game was pretty much done.

Clones were always programmed to follow Order 66. Lucas said it himself:
>"Obviously, the clones play a very big role in this series. And we really enjoy turning them into personalities, and seeing the war from their side, and seeing what their problems are. Obviously the issues are how were they programmed, and when were they programmed, and that sort of thing will, eventually, reveal itself."
https://www.ign.com/videos/lucas-talks-clone-wars-season-3
Timestamp: 3:35

And it was presented as such in the films.
>"Karen Traviss? She didn't get everything right. It is very clear if you watch ROTS that [Order 66] is not an order on the books. And it's simply from this one detailโ€”that Karen Traviss ignoredโ€”but the detail is: when Sidious shows up as a hologram and says 'Execute Order 66,' the clones say 'It will be done, my lord.' Not 'yes sir,' not 'yes chancellor.' 'It will be done, my lord.' Commander Cody has never seen a Sith Lord. He doesn't know what a Sith Lord is. He's never seen Darth Sidious. Unless this is a Manchurian Candidate situation. Unless they have been programmed, on a deep level. The brain washing kicks in the moment they hear the words 'Order 66,' and they look at that hologram and they see God. They see the man responsible for their creation: Darth Sidious. And that's what it is. And, by the way, I have it on authority from George Lucas that that's exactly what it is. Now, Traviss didn't watchโ€”she missed that aspect of ROTS. She didn't pay attention to that. If you are going to take Lucas and Filoni to task for changing the Mandalorians, you have to take Traviss to task for changing one of the most key plot points of the entire saga."โ€”Sam Witwer
https://youtu.be/bZzG1FzIsEo?feature=shared&t=2358

Anything else makes no sense, explicitly contradicts what was shown in the films, and requires ridiculous suspension of disbelief and writing everyone out of character to justify it. No matter how edgy and "cool" it sounds on paper.

BF3 was canceled in 2008. Free Radical missed deadlines and siphoned resources to make their own game.

>"In December 2007, Free Radical still did not have simple AI working in levels. For much of 2007, Xbox 360 builds simply did not work. Initially, Free Radical claimed it was a US/UK kit difference, but when we asked to FedEx one of their working machines to the US for a build review, they declined."
>This was only just the beginning of problems for Free Radical and BF3. In 2007, the source began to suspect that its payments to Free Radical were in fact being used to complete Haze and not BF3. What's more, during this time, Haze became a PlayStation 3 exclusive, which affirmed LucasArts' belief that the studio's engine was not compatible with Xbox 360 at the time.
>In August 2007, the source said Free Radical was "struggling" with Haze and Battlefront III and thus began to (as time would prove unsuccessfully) shop around TimeSplitters 4. It was also during this time that the source levied his most serious claims against Free Radical.
>A critical milestone came in May 2008 when Haze finally shipped. The game was more than a year late and received generally poor review marks. "The quality of the game was extremely alarming to us," he said. "Free Radical insisted that the delays were to ensure the game was a gem with 85+ review, but that was very clearly not the case."
>The cancellation eventually occurred in October 2008. According to the ex-LucasArts employee, LucasArts judged that Free Radical was unable to deliver on its August and September milestones. He would summarise the failing of Battlefront III in three points. First, Haze siphoned resources during the first half of Battlefront III development. Second, Free Radical overestimated its ability to meet milestones. And lastly, because Free Radical kept missing assigned dates.

battlefront is a game that could very easily suffer from content bloat unless there's a pre-established formula, especially for heroes.
You need specific loadouts or styles of heroes. Basically classes otherwise the rest of the content will suffer.
We already saw this with Battlefront 2 itself

There are no lords in the Republic. Palpatine was not the Senate. Not yet. Your headcanon contradicts what was factually shown in the movies and what was stated personally by George Lucas, who created the entire thing in the first place.

>>714132537
>it just doesn't feel like they had chips back when the movie came out (2005)
It is similar to midichlorians: Lucas probably did not have the exact plot device figured out yet by the time of the original movies, because the original movies did not necessitate them, but general idea was always there. When Luke says that the Force is strong in his family, it implies that it is stronger in some bloodlines than others. Same with this: from the movies we knew that the clones followed Order 66 because they were genetically altered to be totally obedient, and the same response across every single clone trooper across the galaxy, "It will be done, my lord", with no hesitation whatsoever, was obvious that there was some sort of programming involved. It was never a legal order. Senators did not know about it. Jedi Generals did not know about it. Clones couldn't have known about it, because the Jedi would have found out about it in three years of being close to them, the Jedi would not have trusted them as much as they did, and vice versa, and the Jedi would have sensed it if it was premeditated.
>there was no sign of them in the clone wars cartoon either
Are you talking about the 2D one? Lucas was not very involved with that one, by his own admission.
>the clone wars series was made years later
It was made since early 2005, before ROTS was even out in theaters. Lucas started making it as soon as post-production on ROTS wrapped.
>clones just being loyal to the republic and the chancellor and not the jedi
Again, it is clear from the movies that Order 66 was not a legal order issued by the Chancellor of the democratic Republic, but a secret programmed directive issued by Darth Sidious.

The Sith are psychopath egoists who think it is their moral imperative to abuse, manipulate, and lie to everyone who's weaker than them, while dark jedi are just jedi who use the dark side.

>probably but I think it ties the best to the movie
It doesn't really work with the movies. Like at all. Power levels are ridiculous and cannot co-exist in the same narrative as the films. And without these power levels the very plot of the cartoon doesn't work. And the plot of the movies wouldn't work. Grievous is an entirely different character, because Lucas hadn't figured him out yet, and what was shown in the 2D-cartoon was just Genndy's interpretation. Battle of Coruscant as depicted in the cartoon does not mesh with what was shown in the movie. There are no signs of a massive surface battle that just occurred in the Senate district, the movie suggests that it was a covert extraction, since it was planned by Palps in the first place.
>there was also no ashoka which never makes sense since anakin never mentions having a padawan in EP3
She was no longer his Padawan and she left the Jedi Order. The movie did not necessitate her being mentioned. Just like the original movies did not necessitate the mention of Qui-Gon Jinn. Or most of the prequel characters for that matter. The movie never said he did not have a Padawan, or could not have one. The only requirement for having one is being a Jedi Knight. Which he was.
>I don't know why they created that stupid character
>Ahsoka was created, says Lucas, "Because I needed to mature Anakin. The best way to get somebody to become responsible and mature is to have them become a parent or a teacher. You have to think about what you're doing and set an example. You look at your behavior and the way you do things much differently. The idea was to use her to make Anakin become more mature. We've made her a more extreme version of what Anakin wasโ€”a little out there, independent, vital and full of life, but even more so. He gets a little dose of his own medicine."
Yoda assigned him a Padawan to settle him down and force him into being more responsible, and to, ultimately, teach him how to let go of attachments.

The argument isn't whether or not they're brain washed, its the specifics of the brain washing. The Battlefront 2 lore is that they all consciously knew what was going to happen at the end of the war, but said nothing because they were programmed from birth to be that die hard loyal to the republic and the chancellor specifically. While Clone Wars has it that they knew nothing until the day it happened when a phrase activated a chip in their brain and put them on evil mode.

honestly the truth of the matter is that fine details in the prequels and the prequels as a whole weren't planned well. Lucas had all these ideas but they really needed to get ironed out.
I mean even looking at the origin of the clone army in 2 is contrived.
Perhaps some mix of the two would be the best. >"Clones have some brainwashing but also are executing on an order of loyalty to the republic that coincides with some general commands and order like we see in the EU"
>>714133284
feel like that doesn't work well with the jedi having force powers, could they not sense the dark side in the clones at all? iirc we see in the OT and other movies that the darkside surrounds a person with ill intention. As cool as BF2's plot was it always felt shaky at best to me

It was a major plot point in the prequels that the jedi had lost most of their force powers and were made practically blind to the force. That's why they couldn't sense the plot to kill them, despite its architect rubbing shoulders with them every afternoon and its executioners being their comrades in arms.

I think it plays into how arrogant the Jedi were before the fall of the Republic, thinking that they were near invincible and that there's no way a Sith lord controls the senate because of course the Jedi would know right away and stop it.

Again, this is just my opinion. The idea of computer chips forcing the clones to kill their generals against their will is very heartbreaking particularly if you watched Clone Wars and I respect that addition

>The Battlefront 2 lore
I don't know why you even use it as an argument. Battlefront 2 was not really canon. It had 501st present literally everywhere, among other things, like feeling guilty about having to shoot Aayla Secura whilst standing right in front of her. It makes no sense. It was a good game, but I am baffled by the people who are adamant about taking the story of the game seriously. The EU itself could not agree on what Order 66 was: Battlefront 2 "consciously knew all along", that insane freak Traviss with her "totally legal order on the books one of 150", flash training, or some other excuse, depending on the work.
>loyal to the chancellor specifically
That's not what the movies showed. Because Chancellor of the Republic was never ever referred to as "lord". Hence it was not an order issued by the Chancellor of the Republic, but by Darth Sidious, and the clones were sleeper agents.
>While Clone Wars has it that they knew nothing until the day it happened when a phrase activated a chip in their brain and put them on evil mode.
That's what Episode III showed: Cody being heroic, friendly pal with Obi-Wan, giving him back his lightsaber, and then flipping into evil mode without a moment's hesitation, like a switch. And that's what Lucas showed again in Clone Wars series. Duh.

what you are pointing is is actually something i have thought a lot about when it comes to prequels. Its the same problem with Red Dead Redemption 2 introducing Arthur as a character and having him so fucking important to everything about Dutch's gang, but somehow this insanely important character never gets mentioned by ANY of the gang members in RDR 1. The fact that John and Dutch dont even bring him up when they see eachother really sticks out if you play 1 after 2.

A good prequel will flesh out lore without creating plot holes. A bad prequel will create plot holes.

>when was that mentioned?
In episode 2 after Obi Wan tells the Jedi council about the clone army on Kamino over a video call.
>Yoda: Blind we are if able to sense the creation of this clone army we were not.
>Mace: I think it is time we informed the senate that our ability to use the force has diminished.
>Yoda: No, if informed of our weakness the senate is, only multiply our enemies will
I may have gotten a couple words wrong, but that's about what they say in the scene. The main reason for the Jedi's fall is that they had become corrupt and decadent, and in the process lost their connection with the force. Qui Gon was the last true Jedi, which is why the council disagreed with him so much, and why everything went to hell after he died.

It is one thing when the most powerful Sith Lord in 1000 years is deliberately hiding his presence in the Force and masks his thoughts, and it is a whole another thing when a bunch of grunts do so on the scale of millions across entire galaxy for years, fighting side by side next to these psychic mind-reading, mood feeling wizards. It's fucking dumb. It makes no sense. It makes the Jedi utterly moronic, and it makes no sense for them to trust these clones so absolutely, that Kenobi is such a close pal to one of them, Ki-Adi Mundi is utterly shocked when his troops stop to shoot him, and that any of them would EVER AT ALL expose their backs to them. There were many instances in the movies when the Jedi sensed mood, anxieties, thoughts. One of 10,000 Jedis would have sensed something from one of millions of grunts, being side by side with them for years. It necessitates that, as shown in the movies, the Jedi trusted the clones absolutely, trusted enough to be comfortable around them, to turn their backs to them, to befriend them, and then to be utterly shocked when they flipped out of nowhere. It also necessitates that the clones themselves did not know about it coming, because otherwise the Jedi would have sensed it, sensed the intent, and it also explains why they stopped in their tracks in the middle of battles and flipped on their brothers in arms that fought and died for them side by side, when there was no sign of any treachery. There is no rational explanation for Cody shooting down Obi-Wan. There is none. Just like there is no explanation for every single clone responding in the same way, "It will be done, my lord". Only that it was Manchurian Candidate trigger word programming. Which it was. Which Lucas said.

I really like the idea of the jedus arrogance being their downfall but the whole cloen army plot in that movie feels so contrived.
They know the origin of the clone army is really suspicious and people wanted to hide it and even possibly kill a jedi master over it, makes their easy trusting of the clone army feel really odd in context. I suppose you could say its a necessity but still, after Dooku mentions a sith being in control of the republic its at least reason to investigate everything

I don't care about what's canon, I care about what's better, and the clones being realistic sleeper agents rather than the cartoon idea of sleeper agents is way cooler.
>That's not what the movies showed. Because Chancellor of the Republic was never ever referred to as "lord". Hence it was not an order issued by the Chancellor of the Republic, but by Darth Sidious, and the clones were sleeper agents.
Palpatine had been giving himself promotions regularly over the course of the war. I wouldn't be shocked if adding "lord" to the title of Supreme Chancellor was one of them. Besides the clones were personally commissioned by him, he probably had that lord thing put into their programming at birth.
>That's what Episode III showed: Cody being heroic
He's just a stoic and professional as all the other clones in the movies. He helps Obi Wan because that's his job and that's what good soldiers do. I understand why George had to humanize them for the clone wars, but in the movies the clones come across as having even less personality than droids while being just as unflinchingly loyal.

Anakin was fully trusted by Windu and Yoda in Attack of the Clones. They were fully confident in sending him on a mission to protect Padme. There was a scene at the temple, where Yoda and Windu assure Obi-Wan that Anakin is ready, and arrogance is a flaw common in all Jedi. In Ep 3, Windu did not trust him, because he was put on the Council by the Chancellor. That was the reason. There was nothing about not treating him as equal. This is your headcanon. Anakin was just as violent in the show, when the situation demanded it. Just like in the movies. He was not always violent.
>It feels weird to have all that and then they trust him with an apprentice?
Not really. Again, Yoda and Mace trusted him well enough in Ep 2, and Yoda gave him a Padawan specifically, because he tried to help Anakin with his issues. He needed to learn how to let go of attachments.

Its Jedi arrogance behind everything. The Jedi trust the clones because the can't sense any ill intent from them, and because the council refuses to admit that this could just as easily be because they're blind, they think it means the clones are all good guys. The Jedi dismiss everything Dooku said because he's a Sith Lord and they don't listen to Sith.

If you feel its contrived, that's fair. But its a Greek tragedy in space, so I'd say that's by design.

it doesn't at all
the movie explains very well Anakin's conflict with the jedi council without ashoka's existence. His conflict was about him being afraid of losing Padme like he lost his mother. The Jedi being assholes to him, telling him he should just let his wife die, not trusting him with important missions like dealing with Grievous, not making him a master despite all the big achievement he had done during the clone wars. The reason why he ate Palpatine's lies so easily was because he was the only who gave him an "out" and he's being around him since he was little. He respected him a lot.
So in a moment of desperation, he decided to trust him about having a way to save Padme and fell to the dark side
there's no need for ashoka here at all

The orders existed outside of Traviss's novels, the brain chip were just Filoni fanfiction. Your own post shows that he didn't even understand the clones or how they were trained. If Jedi didn't bother investigating how a clone army popped up, they weren't going to dig up contingency orders.

>The orders existed outside of Traviss's novels
No, they didn't. They first appeared in her retarded crap, and nowhere else.

>the brain chip were just Filoni fanfiction
Nope. It came from Lucas, in his show, in a script written by his daughter. He literally says, on video, that the clones are programmed. There was never any free will involved, and there were never any "contingency orders."

>Your own post shows that he didn't even understand the clones or how they were trained
Where, exactly? Did Lucas not understand the thing that he created? Cool story, retard.

>If Jedi didn't bother investigating how a clone army popped up, they weren't going to dig up contingency orders.
They did investigate. What are you talking about? Contingency orders, on the other hand, make no sense whatsoever. It was explicitly stated in Ep II, that the Jedi keep a close eye on the Senate. It was explicitly shown that they had many loyal senators, like Padme, Bail Organa, Mon Mothma and others. If such a thing was ever passed, they would've known about it. They would've known about a public and legal military order to execute them on the spot without any trial, since they'd been generals for the last 3 years. And they would have brought it up in the movies, when they were making a move against Palpatine, if that was ever a thing. It wasn't. It was Traviss' fanfic. It was clear in the movie that O66 was a secret known only to Sidious. Anakin asks "What of other Jedi spread across the galaxy?" He didn't know. Obi-Wan didn't know why the clones suddenly turned. Bail Organa didn't know. Nobody knew. Because it was meant to be a secret, and the clones were meant to be programmed. Traviss is a mentally ill hack, who hated the Jedi, compared them to Nazis, and anyone who liked them to Nazi sympathizers, and she wrote all the Jedi except her OCs as a bunch of evil out of character retards. She did the same with Halo and Gears of War books.

yeah i just feel you could've added one or two dialogue changes or made some general script changes that would've made that feel more coherent as well as ironing out some rough parts in a series of already rather rough movies
it at the very least is consistent with their characterrization although it does make them look dumb

>One of 10,000 Jedis would have sensed something from one of millions of grunts, being side by side with them for years
it should be said that we clearly see this with Yoda killing his clones right before they shoot him. Think its pretty reasonable he would've sensed any ill intent from them prior and as Battlefront 2 characterizes the clones they didn't take to liking their jedi commanders all that much

>>714135610

i always understood that as more of a move to get him out of their hair
>There was nothing about not treating him as equal.
what about the whole point of not making him a master while putting him on the council?
>. Anakin was just as violent in the show, when the situation demanded it.
i watched all of it and I dont really remember anything on the level of him masscreing the tuskens in EpII. If anything TCW has moments (like an entire slavery arc, anakin working with Hutts etc.) where anakin shouldn't be the level headed person he seems to be in the show
>It literally did on many occasions.
it never seemed on the level of what was implied in EpIII
>Movies were never adult
there are very clearly adult themes and elements in every starwars movie and what little was there was very obviously further reduced for TCW. I like TCW its pretty okay overall and can even be really good but it obviously made sacrifices for the audience it was going for

Lucas contradicted himself multiple times over the years, no shit he forgets his own rules. The chips were a retcon, your examples don't imply anything other than indoctrination the clones went through. The chips were made up so the clones don't look like complete villains at the expense of the story. That tumor pic is dated 2011, long after ROTS came out, you keep posting the same irrelevant images.

>They did investigate
I said the Jedi, you're talking about senators who never trusted Sheev and were constantly trying to find dirt on him. The number 66 implies there are other orders that the clones had. The orders were in other media, I don't know why the fuck you are so hung up on Traviss when it wasn't the only one.

The chips were a pointless detail just so the kids watching Filoni wars don't think the clones are evil when though they were just following orders they were trained since birth. i think thats an interesting idea but iirc doesn't work with Batlefront 2's dialgoue in regard to ki andi mundi and the jedi as a whole, they seem to have some maliciousness or at the least forknowledge that the order will happen at some point (i think the mission right before 66 points this out). >I mean even looking at the origin of the clone army in 2 is contrived.
It's really not. Sidious had his (then) new apprentice Tyranus commission a clone army in the jedi council name, but secretly programmed with a kill order to kill them. They used a (then) recently killed jedi master, Sifo Dyas, as the name for it (whether they killed Sifo Dyas or not for this doesn't matter and isn't clarified. The name was originally meant to be a play on Sidious). Tyranus had grabbed a skilled jedi hunter to be the template for the clones, and said jedi hunter continued to work for him after. That's the origin as presented in the movie (minus the kill order, which is only revealed in the 3rd).

Sources
>Obi-wan is told by cloners that Sifo Dyas commissioned them 10 years ago.
>Jango tells Obi-wan he "never heard of Sifo Dyas" and the actual commissioner who brought him there was Tyranus. Obi-wan thinks he could be lying.
>Obi-wan reports to Yoda and Windu the Sifo story, then that Sifo was actually killed before the commission, suggesting the name was faked, and Windu confirms no one in the council gave authorization.
>Obi-wan follows Jango to Dooku (Tyranus), confirming Jango's prior statement was true.
And hell, they even beat you in the face with how Sidious has maneuvered to control both armies in the war, droids via Tyranus ("The viceroy of the Trade Federation was once in league with this Darth Sidious, but he was betrayed ten years ago by the dark lord. He came to me for help. He told me everything.") and clones via Tyranus ("Welcome home, Lord Tyranus.").

That's not quite fair. Obi-wan spent the first half of the movie defending Dooku as a good boy ex-jedi, must have his reasons. When he follows Jango, he overhears Dooku admit to the assassination of Padme via Jango, raising the droid army to "overwhelm the jedi," and being the overall lying traitor everyone said Dooku was. That's why his first word in the interrogation is "Traitor."

In the interrogation, Dooku lies about things Obi-wan had already seen and overheard, then Dooku pretends to be a friend, all just a misunderstanding. So Obi-wan has him pinned for being a lying traitor. Dooku then finally says the true things and pretends he's just a rogue element against the Sith Lord (the "viceroy came to me" statement), but even THAT was a lie because Dooku was working for Sidious the whole time, not hunting him. Everything Dooku said was 95% lies, so it's really only hindsight someone can say he should have believed Dooku about a little specific part, especially since Obi-wan believed the Council would sense it if that was true but Yoda refused to admit their blindness.

>leaves teenage Anakin alone with a Naboo's Succubus God-Queen with a half-assed "LOL hey there you two don't go fuckin now ;)"
>Anakin's mom dies because he doesn't bother to go back for her
>Ignores Tyranus's warnings
>Press-gangs this grieving emotional wreck of a human being into a goddamned war against his will with a "man the fuck up son, I know you signed up just to learn about your spiritual connection to the force, but you need to now use those abilities to kill countless people and watch countless fried die for a political cause you don't believe in, here's your general stars and your xeno-loli in a miniskirt, now go forth and murder my little force WMD"
>Doesn't question that Anakin killed Dooku or talk to him about it
>Ignores Anakin's visions
>Anakin is dying for his approval, but constantly shits on Anakin because he's afraid
>Forces Anakin to spy on his one existing parental figure -- you know because he let the other ones die
>Then, in Anakin's ultimate moment of crisis, he fucking LEAVES
>Then, finally, in the one moment where he could have brought his friend back -- HE FUCKING DRAWS HIS LIGHTSABER INSTEAD OF JUST TALKING TO HIM THEN CUTS HIS ARMS AND LEGS AND DICK OFF OVER A POLITICAL DISAGREEMENT
That's like if your nephew had some opinions over thanksgiving that you didn't agree with so you just walked in and shot him in the face. Obiwan is fucked in the head and the entire galaxy was fucked the moment he jobbed to Maul and got his master killed

I'm not gonna go through all of them, but this one made me lol so it gets attention. I don't think it every gets a specific mention, but Obi-wan seemed to have known about their relationship/marriage and let it be without ever snitching, in silent approval.

I do think the greatest flaw between them though is that Obi-wan saw Anakin as a brother, while Anakin needed a father.
