Unbelievably stupid scene. What were they thinking? With random electronics she not only goes toe-to-toe with Miles, but also runs like the Flash (while carrying him), and jumps 500+ meters into the air like Superman. She would literally beat the shit out of someone like Green Goblin.

The only fun part is swinging around the city, and even that gets interrupted by random ass calls and requests from annoying ass characters with a nasally voices.

Very similar problem to nuWolfenstein. The first remake (The New Order + The Old Blood) is a genuine attempt to reinvent Wolfenstein games, then the following entries (The New Colossus + Youngblood) are weird propaganda pamphlets that wear the skin of Wolfenstein.

wanted to replay the first one on pc, because i never finished the dlc, but after playing the intro i realized why i didnt continue.
Combat is just too bland, and the maingame is fairly long. by the time i would have reached the dlc i would have been tired of it again guaranteed.
Swinging is still kino tho

They have a heavy focus on modern Spider-Man storylines while also doing some of their own things.
Modern Spider-Man sucks ass and so does everything Insomniac comes up with

Swinging's fun, combat is simple but flows well, New York City is a lot of fun and great to explore, and you can dress up in a bunch of Spider-Man suits. The sequel fucked up because they spent like five years redoing New York City with all new textures and shit that literally nobody gave a fuck about when a lighting pass could've accomplished the same thing. And then you look at the character models (Sandman looks like he got ripped out of a PS3 game) and you wonder what the fuck all that time was for. It was especially funny when TOTK came out with almost no new assets for Hyrule but it was the best-reviewed game of the year.

I read a lot of spider-man and I didnt like this game, not saying its bad but I didnt like it
its a glorified beat em up, and the puzzles are the stupidest shit
the story is pretty weak, its a lot like the amazing run from the 2010s which is terrible, not in terms of story beats but in terms of how the characters talk and are portrayed

to make a good superhero game is extremely hard and almost impossible, batman arkham is lightning in a bottle and it's overrated

I get that Venom is super popular so he was always going to be first, but a "Spider-Man 2" that is a bunch of seemingly disconnected adventures while subtly having a "Clone Saga" story underneath and fucking with the player on WHO they were playing as all this time would've been fucking great. You'd even have your "second Spider-Man".
