Here's what you do anon, I'll make it simple for you.
Starting with main abilities:
For your shoes, you want an ability called stealth jump. This will just make your super jumps much safer, this is good in every mode. Practically everyone runs that on their shoes, as its only on the shoes. Who knows why.
Now the rest depends on the weapon and playstyle. I'll give you a couple of simple options.
Do you die a lot? Do you have a short range weapon? Do you want to get back in the battle faster? On your headgear get something with the Comeback ability, and on your shirt get quick respawn. These two jive well together and are commonly used at higher levels, but will work well for lower levels especially in a mode like turf war.
If you have a longer range weapon and more defensive play style, you can try stacking special charge and ink saver main. This will allow you to shoot your weapon more and get your special quicker. All purpose works well for most weapons. Some are really ink hungry, so it depends.

Don't worry about trying to grind out chunks. Just focus on main abilities for now, but there are a few abilities that are good to run one sub of, and that's quick super jump, ink resistance, special saver, and sub resistance up.
