There’s going to be a Nintendo direct next week, 7/6. They are going to divide it into two sections; one for Switch games with Switch 2 enhancements, and Switch 2 exclusive games.
Switch Games:
Elite Beat Agents: They highlight “Jump Up Superstar” and the new song from DK Bananza. Players can use either gyro controls or the touch screen to play the game. Switch 2 edition makes use of the new Switch 2 touchscreen to introduce new note types.
Harvest Moon: Game will offer the opportunity to either use a real world clock or a in game clock with 20 minute days. Nintendo Switch 2 version uses the Nintendo app to let you see all the plants and fishes you see.
Don’t play with me, Miss Nagatoro: Bandai Namco is making it. It’s a retelling of the manga, but you’re able to romance Nagatoro’s friends and the president instead. Like their Spy X Family game they’re also using arcade games for certain segments, with Nagatoro, her friends and the president as enemies. Switch 2 edition includes a new game based on Katamari Damacy.
Switch 2 exclusives:
Mario Kart World: Update giving new costumes, focusing on DK and Pauline getting some Mario Kart Tour costumes. Also will announce a standard Grand Prix where you race in tracks without the intermissions, and a new 100 player knockout tour which takes everyone around every track.
WarioWare: Landed: Utilizes the characters and how they move from “Move It” and turns it into a platformer game, a la Wario Land 4. Certain characters will be playable on certain stages, and got their moveset changed to fit the more precise platforming nature
Nintendo GameCube Online: Announce that Chibi-Robo will be available in August. They also announce a DS online service with Chibi-Robo Park Patrol.
Pikmin Playground: A tycoon game where you’re tasked with building a theme park for both Pikmin and any visitors to enjoy.
Ends with a reveal for a new Smash Bros game with a 2028 release date to end it.
