have you ever stolen a game IRL, /v/?
>>714118327 (OP)No, I pirate instead
>>714118327 (OP)Post Gavin's mom
Ive stolen nintendo club codes from game boxes since fucking gamestop kept them in the display boxes.
I once got Luigi's Mansion 2 sent to me in the mail and the guy's I bought it from didn't think it got to me, so they gave me a refund, even though I still got the game.
$30 physical game for scott Free.
Does that count?
>>714118626I don't usually find jaundiced Simpsons characters attractive, but there's a couple I would

>>714118327 (OP)no but once I bought an used copy of SINGULARITY and it did not work. went back to the store and the hot cashier test the game, saw it didn't work at all and gave me a brand new copy because she didn't know any better. Never mentioned my copy was used.
>>714118327 (OP)no, physical stores have nothing but worthless AAAslop
>>714118327 (OP)stole a copy of vice city
>>714118885what pirate software do you use?
I used to bring in printouts of websites for rival retail stores with lower prices when everyone used to price match, and I would edit them to be cheaper but not so cheap that they were not believable.
Nah, never had an opportunity since even when I was a kid in the 90's every store had empty boxes and locked display cases. Only way I could have stolen a game was if I stole a friend's copy, and that's some straight up nigger shit.
>>714118883it's a shame all simpsons porn is so fucking terrible
>>714118327 (OP)I rented Black Ops for the PS3 and then the store closed down while I still had it
>>714118327 (OP)my sister stole a gameboy pocket with pokemon red and that was our first vidyagame machine.
>>714118327 (OP)I stole like a ds cartridge or two from a friends house as a kid but otherwise no
Sure did! Witcher 1 and impossible creatures, good shit.
>>714118327 (OP)No but my brother invited some Mexican kid he barely knew over who stole my Xbox 360 and just about all of my games.
>>714119595Oh, and like 15 pre-paid wow subscription cards. Dumd assholes at the mediamarkt didn't even have the cartridges sealed.
>>714118508This is cope. I don't know why piratefags can't just accept that they are thieves. Don't want to be compared to niggers or something?
I don't give a shit or anything, I just find it amusing.
Back when Walmart had PC games in boxes, yeah.
>steal one whole box
>rip open a bunch of other boxes to get the CD keys
>burn copies of the game to sell at school
Shit was SO cash. But then I got arrested for stealing Robitussin and realized I should probably stop.
>>714118327 (OP)I always feel a bit guilty when I don't tip.
>>714119747just pirated 5 copies of Code Vein. seethe
>>714118327 (OP)Yeah I stole Halo on the original Xbox
I also tried to steal F-Zero 64 by taking it to the homewares section and trying to bash off the protective security case with a hammer. It did not work. The case was friggin tough
>>714118327 (OP)My dad bought me the Thief reboot cause he thought I would've liked it but when we got to the car he realized he forgot to pay, we both said fuck it. Turns out it wasn't even worth stealing.
>>714118327 (OP)No, Agent, I haven't...
>>714118327 (OP)I stole The Simpsons Game for PS2 once (accidentally). I was leaving the shop with my mum and she noticed the game in her handbag when I thanked her for buying it. Turned out she didn't buy it, I had just put it in the bag. Unfortunately she took it back to the shop.
>>714120669bold strategy, should have waited until later to grab it
I've never stolen a game, but I've had a few games stolen from me. Namely Pokemon TCG for the Game Boy (little rat kid from down the street tried to take it, but my mom noticed he was pocketing it and smacked the shit out of him and kicked his ass to the curb) and Pokemon Conquest (one of my nieces or nephews probably stole it during the 4th of July party we had at our house back in 2012, it was in my DS that was on the charger in the kitchen that morning and wasn't there at the end of the party). Funny how they were both Pokemon games.
>>714118765I had a similar thing happen, too. I bought a game on ebay and it didn't show up for a month, and the tracking hadn't updated for about 3 weeks, so I messaged the guy, he apologized and refunded me. Then I bought another copy of the game from another seller and both of them showed up on the same day.
>>714119747>Have game in closet>Don't want to run on native hardware>Pirate and play>This is theft somehow to the antipiratefag Piracy=/=a copy not sold
>This is theft somehow
>>714118327 (OP)Yeah, a kid stole my Turok for GBC, which I didn't even like, so I stole his Pokemon Silver with 220+ Pokemon in the Dex
>>714118327 (OP)not stealing but i traded a copy of gta san andreas for my friends gba sp with pokemon crystal and mario deluxe which was pretty scummy i guess (ds was already out but he didnt have one)
eventually gave it back to him when i bought a backlight model from another friend years later
also gave him a copy of pokemon ruby but they were still very easy to find at the time
>>714118327 (OP)In 3rd grade, I stole a whole GameBoy Color with Pokemon Gold in it from a kid in 2nd grade. Grades 1-4 shared a building and some of the kids would bring their GBs so they could trade Pokemon. We all had a hall on the first floor to hang up our backpacks and jackets and shit. No lockers or anything.
I knew he kept his GB in his backpack so at one point when no one was around, I snuck down and just took it, including the game.
A ton of people had access to the building, so it was basically impossible to find out who it was without going through everyone's shit, so the teachers couldn't do anything.
Never seen a kid cry as much as he did. He was devastated for weeks and no one was allowed to bring any games with them to school afterwards. I felt so fucking bad about it, but was afraid to give it back.
Didn't tell anyone about it and kept it hidden from my parents. Only played it in my room.
I 100% got away with it, but I felt tremendous guilt for years. Still do.
>>714118327 (OP)No, I refuse to listen to Sonic the Hedgehog
>>714118327 (OP)Kinda? A store was selling the Pokemon Sword + Season Pass bundle for the price of the season pass alone and I obviously knew it was an error, when they sent me only the season pass code I opened a complaint with the support and not only they sent me a code for the game but also refunded what I paid, so I got the game and season pass for free

But back when I was like 14-15 I used to put porn mags inside vidya mags at the newsagent when the staff wasn't looking, then take them to the counter and buy the vidya magazine with the porn magazine inside it.

>>714120048I was about to call you a fag but then I realized I didn't read "reboot" at first. Justified. Wouldn't even be worth playing if someone paid you to do it. I'd say you still got ripped off getting it for free.
My entire physical DS library is stolen from the same store
no, but some dumb nigger working in a retro store accused me of it
>>714118327 (OP)Closest thing was that I borrowed Kirby Air Ride from a friend and never gave it back, but it turns out he didn't want it back so it basically became mine.
>game rental store opens up in my town about 2004 ish and includes PC games
>steam had just come out, not many people know how it works
>rent HL1/opposing force/blue shift/CS/team fortress pack
>keys activated on steam
>free games
felt bad but w.e. the games would still install not on steam for others.
>>714118327 (OP)When I was a kid my mom would take me to flea markets and I was often tempted to pocket any loose gameboy games I found
I never did though, but goddamn I wanted to
Kinda stole from Nintendo during the final days of the Club Nintendo when /v/ found out about the Wii Mini exploit, I managed to figure out the pattern of the serial codes so I spent the whole night making accounts, redeeming the Wii Mini serial and getting games, that's how I got all the Mario games for the 3DS, I also scammed one femanon into sending me pics of her boobs in exchange for a code of Mario Party, but that was after the site closed and I didn't had any code remaining, sorry
>>714118327 (OP)I once subbed to Gamefly.
I'm sorry, officer.
>>714118965>look up this game>$10 on steamwas it any good when you played it?
yes, I used to be a drug addict piece of shit and I shoplifted a bunch of ps3 games
>>714118327 (OP)I once tried doing a full on department store heist with a friend. Was the dumbest thing I ever did as a kid.
kind of? got my copy of red alert 2 back in the day by finding a sealed copy by the side of the road, right outside the store, and I just yoinked it and speed-walked home
its was apparent someone had bought it, put it on their car roof while loading other items and forgot about it, and then it fell into the ditch as they pulled out, for me to stumble upon it
>>714118327 (OP)I took a pic of a game key code inside of a StarCraft 2 WoL box when it came out and redeemed it at home
>>714118751I worked in claims at a retailer and had so many returns from retarded parents that thought 3ds games worked on the DS. I redeemed every code and felt like a pimp
>>714118327 (OP)I stole copy of Sonic and Knuckles from a thrift store because they were selling the console with the still game inside and I knew they wouldn't just sell me the game because they take unpriced things away from you if you take them to the register
Around 2007 I opened an unsold copy of Oblivion in a Gamestop and pocketed the paper map while my girlfriend kept watch. I have no doubt the Gamestop sold that copy to somebody and so they never got the map they rightfully paid for. That map is long gone but I will never forgive myself.
>>714125324And you all dogged on BeatEmUps for thinking the Switch 2 packaging would confuse grannies at Target. Non-gamer parents in the video game aisle are as clueless as a woman in an auto garage.
>>714126043why steal only the map
>>714126146because I pirated the game on PC and the map was from a xbox360 copy
I'll occasionally pirate a ROM or an ISO to an old game, but I prefer to own my media physically. I'm thinking of starting an UHD Blu-ray collection, really going in on a nice TV, get a good shelving case for it, read up on acoustics, good audio equipment, maybe renovate the walls a bit or add some soundproofing, good lighting, etc. A dedicated home theater room if you will. I could probably set up a shelving unit with various HD consoles and some sort of cable management system for them, along with something that helps facilitate heat.
Maybe get some surgery for my eyes too, feels kind of pointless to put all that effort in and still have inferior vision. And of course I'd have to actually look into all that audiophile and videophile stuff so I can actually appreciate minute differences and things like color depth.
>>714118327 (OP)My buddy shoplifted a PC copy of Fallout 4 and a carton of Newports on the same day
>>714118327 (OP)Not stolen, but a friend of mine gave me her copy of Okami for Wii and then she only talked to me a couple times after, and now not at all. But I still have Okami
>>714127076the buddy is out of control and a bad influence
>>714126927I think Game Grumps had an entire homemade and centralized system for quickly swapping display output between different physical consoles and also different emulator/controller pairings in their home theater/gaming room, that sounds pretty cool and something I'd also like to do someday.
I wouldn't recommend eye surgery, though. It'll permanently scar your eyes and shut you out of certain professions, on top of there being a pretty high chance of your eyes just becoming worse over time again and this time they'll be scarred AND bad. Why not just get glasses?
>>714118508>theft removes the originalTry to use this line in court and see what happens, punk.

I hate contacts, they're a bitch for me to put in and I've had bad experiences. I've watched a video on reversing myopia, but I don't have the patience or time to do it, I think I'd rather just get the surgery, because my eyes aren't getting better as they are now.

>implying someone who's pirating a copy of a game would have bought it full price if they didn't have the ability to pirate it>Especially funny when the statistics show that piracy causes people who wouldn't have bought your game to purchase it later down the line after pirating itThe WORST result of piracy is someone who was never going to buy a copy of the game continues to not purchase a copy of said game. Cry more, faggot
You have a retarded take, anon!
>>714127558I hate glasses too and I really wish surgery didn't have the drawbacks that it does, but if you're sure, then go for it I guess.
>>714118327 (OP)As a teen, I had no clue how to play games on a computer. Xbox 360 baybee... But I got all my games for free abusing a game stop loophole. I would "buy" a couple of used games, play them for a couple weeks, return them for a full in store refund, and then get different used games. People really hated those 6 hour games in those days but I liked them since they were free of charge for me. Played hundreds of games for about 30 buckeroos, and I could always get games like mw2 whenever i wanted a safe pick, played plenty of stinkers in my day believe it.

I assume you mean video games but if we just mean games then yea, I used to steal the shit outta Magic cards from Borders. The idiots kept them out on the shelves with the books, I'd just stuff my pockets and shoes full of them, I even stuck them under my hat. After a while they started putting the little stickers on them that'd go off when you went through the front, but obviously those were easy as fuck to see so I'd just peel them off and continue stealing. Eventually they figured out they could put them behind the counter and the jig was up. Nabbed hundreds of dollars worth of packs though, shit was so cash.
