When /v/ USED to say consoles were holding games back, it's because used to be stuck with endless corridor shitgames instead of anything complicated or interesting. Consoles got Gears of War, PCs got fucking Crysis. They're meaningfully different games in their detail and the freedom they give the player and the layers of interaction present.
This stratification has long since evaporated, both because most people on PC is a consolefag retard that doesn't care, and because consoles are powerful enough to do whatever in a practical sense now.
