My backlog has almost 1500 games in it, mostly indie titles, obviously. I just kept bookmarking anything that seemed interesting over the course of a few years, I can't even imagine how many games I've rejected. Who has the time to play anything anymore? There's so much stuff being constantly produced, not just vidya, that I'm surprised anyone makes any money at all anymore from anything entertainment related (or otherwise).

It is, it's fundamentally reactive and pathological if you make it your whole identity to mock others. Then again, these days everyone just finds like-minded individuals to degenerate with, nobody actually reflects on their own faults.
