Everyone played this shit for 5000+ hours since 2006 and can instakill me. I also play at a low level where cheaters run rampant. Seriously struggling to see the point of this game.

Yeah, game as rank based matchmaking. Just play in the bronze league or whatever the low ranks are.

if you're a low level noob you're not getting paired with the niggers that have +5000 hours of gameplay unless you're as good as them

Unfortunately getting into CS2 is a lot different than the older versions. You used to have community servers where you could just goof off and learn the mechanics properly, now everything's matchmaking and competition so the learning curve is a lot higher. You just have to look at things introspectively and try to learn from your mistakes and focus less on how you died but on why, where, or how to make it less likely. Most people suck in the beginning.

Right when youre really feeling it youll run into a fucking cheater

I enjoyed CSGO as a noob until I automatically unlocked Prime. There were some cheaters every now and then, but it was easy enough to just kick them. After getting Prime status I never saw any cheaters, but everyone's skill level jumped up super high, which made it less fun to fuck around in. I only played casual 10v10 public matches btw

the knowledge that ~20% of matches have a cheater keeps me from being able to play this game

>muh premier matchmaking!
still 13%

>muh high elo!
cheating is even more prevalent there

>getting into CS2
>it's been confirmed that literally 1 in 10 players in this game are cheat, or queue with cheaters to gain meaningless elo because if you cheat to get a rank, you literally are breaking the system just to get ahead

Why bother? You'd have to be an absolute fucking moron to care about this game in 2025 unless you were hand-picked for CS pro teams.

You can either
>Play matchmaking which sucks and every match has a cheater
>Play FACEIT which has sweatlords who play 10 hours a day every day

I have almost 4k hours in csgo/cs2, the game is a shitshow where almost everyone cheat and gets away with it because valve gives zero fucks, also whenever you win a match is mainly determined by what retards the game will match you with, even if you have pro level skill you won't win if the rest of the team is shit no matter how hard you try, modern cs is a joke and basically just a casino for kids with some gameplay as a bonus

CS2 is my solo Deathmatch first person shooter. Before CS2 it was Halo 3. I wish matchmaking would pit me against other players. I assume I get matched with bots because everyone else is a detonation/hostage sweat. Fores me to play the same community server that has too many people in a match. Dust II ain't designed for 30 players!

Everyone that plays that trash game cheats
I'm approaching unc status at 29 but my reactions are still great, 160ms five hit average, 145ms was the lowest individual on a second attempt.

Yet I get headshot by people while they are running when the way inaccuracy works in this game means bullets exit the barrel of the gun at a 90 degree angle if you haven't stopped. You get shot by people moving at running speeds, When you're peeking you get headshot by people you can't see around corners, but somehow they can see your head?

They all cheat. The pros cheat. The most celebrated moments in CS history are cheat moments, KQLYs (later banned for hacking) jumping pistol headshot on Dust2, s1mples dropping noscope on cache, coldzera hitting MULTIPLE JUMPING AWP SHOTS.

Even so, retarded drones still pretend it's a real game so their $250 000 pixel knife economy doesn't crash.

Yes because of ranked match making and there's so many people playing it and most people are below average.
I would even argue that if you wanted to git decent at the game if you actually took the the time to learn the mechanics you will be better than 35% of the playerbase.

people can play 1000s of hours and even practice but will plateau. you play to grow then average out like everyone else.

I really wouldn't recommend it as it is now. Source 2 fucked all sorts of things up and Valve's updates have slowed to a crawl unless you want more whatever skins

>play csgo
>Get free lootboxes
>Forgot about it for 5 years
>Steam sale
>Running out of money
>Remember I had shitton of trashes in tf2 and csgo inventory
>TF2 items sold like shit
>1 CSGO lootbox paid the game itself and I have shitton of them
Game itself is ass backwards without third party anti cheat software but shit is profitable considering I don't do shit to earn it.

its never to late to get into investing. maybe wait for the next market pullback before you jump in but the cs market is has historically done pretty well. if you mean the actual game then mmr will put u in bronze and you will never encounter any cheaters. its honestly one of the better ways to play cs

It's really not worth getting into, CS GO was a lot better. Hit detection in this game sucks and sometimes bullets just go right through your opponent doing no damage. There's also an absurd amount of cheaters in this game which Valve doesn't do anything about. There's also some stupid Call of Duty mechanic where it tries to balance the game so if you're playing too good your shots will miss and if you're playing terrible your bullets will instant headshot your opponent's head, even while moving or jumping.

there's a lot of cheating, but not everyone cheats

I'm really bad but I have fun and I like how fast paced matches are. I feel like OP too, there are just a lot of really good players, but maybe that means less if even pros cheat.

Same! I miss public servers a bunch. You can find older versions with them, but that's died down a lot.

theres unfun training stuff you can do for 500-1000h to get "better" at aiming, muscle growth and twitch response, map knowledge, headshot preaim, map timings, callouts, nade lineups, weapon recoil control, mechanics of movment including jumping and aiming while moving and coordinating your mouse to what the keyboard presses are doing

If you stick to training regiment for long enough you eventually get better than 90% of people who play the game for fun, but its not fun so.
