Launch was a disaster but Iron Galaxy were involved. Therefore we got treated to their usual lazy bullshit. Somehow they're still not out of business. Sony in fact thought they were a good porting studio, and TLOU 1 remaster was also a disaster on it's launch. So we're gonna get more botched ports I'd wager.

This game looks amazing. The sea and the cityscape look incredible.

AK ran like shit, crashed, the pc port was shit and unfinished and needed to be patched a number of times, even today on a 4080 you can see hard fps dips

Instead of moving to UE4, Rocksteady took the UE3 engine they were used to and developed it further (notably PBR) to suit their project. So basically they had years of experience with an engine that was tailored exactly to the demands they were gonna put on it
