Are stories in most games nothing more than Starting town/tutorial dungeon into first town where you meet the elder queen that tells you to get all the tokens, then you go from town A to town B, where you see repeated enemies until you travel to a diferent biome/country/continent, until you have to go to the final world/dungeon/otherworld to save the world?

No, 4 is nothing but shit with its biggest gimmick being names it took from The Divine Comedy.
Dante's Inferno is the shittiest piece of literature ever written.
5 has 3 different overworlds: Bartz's world, Galuf's world, and riftworld.
4 has stupid shit like Troia's magnetic cave where you're forced to unequip metal items.
Fuck 4 because it sucks more in every way possible than any other FF.
