I can't believe they called that game "Triangle Strategy".
It sounds like a joke/placeholder name that they would use while the game is in development, but then rightfully change on release.
>>714137907It's a Tex Winter reference you dip
>>714137731 (OP)yeah, its pretty good if you are into trpg
although lack of any sprites in dialogues hurt this game very, same as octopath traveler
>>714137731 (OP)If you can stomach the initial dialogue and bother to remember the huge cast of characters you are rewarded with a GoT style political story.
>>714137731 (OP)Yeah it's great. But there's a lot of cutscenes. Like half the game is just cutscenes. If that's a minus for you, you may dislike it. IMO the story is well written and the voice acting is solid
Benedict is a goated character
>>714140654The writing is anime brainrot.
>>714137907because it's the octopath guys and they had to keep the dumb numerical prefix thing going
I thought it was fun
People complain there is a lot of cutscenes but half of them are optional and battles took me like 40 minutes sometimes so it's not like the ratio is bad
>>714137731 (OP)Not really, no. Its extremely boring. The plot and characters are beyond dry, and the gameplay isn't particularly interesting. I bounced off of it pretty early on because it just didn't hook me after a handful of missions.
Never played the game but judging from the comments here it looks like this game is zoomer/gen a repellant.
I dont mind strapping down for a long story but what about the gameplay? Is it better than Tactics Ogre at least, because I really hated the combat in that game. Can I customize my characters to turn them into raid bosses, are the moves flashy.
>>714137731 (OP)this game is a midwit filter that cannot enjoy complicated world building and prefer surface level writing like FFT
this game is FFT but better
>>714148412>>714148412>Can I customize my characters to turn them into raid bosses, are the moves flashy. It's pretty standard with some environment interaction and manipulation, like burning the foliage an enemy's on and stuff. I got filtered because I just don't click with srpgs despite loving Octopath and Bravely (and funnily enough Various Daylife) from the same devs.
>what are they gonna call the next game? square strategy?
>>714137907It's one of those development names but they release the demo and then they just kinda stick with it because everyone knows it by that now.
I hate Ikushima's art
I don't know why I just do
Yeah, I really liked it and I donโt like Octopath. Iโm against the idea of a golden route in this because you should have to compromise on the pros and cons of your given ideology/allegiance but if you just play it making decisions on the fly, youโll have a good time. Battles are nice and chunky, some units are crazy broken. I fucked with the plot and some of the dilemmas you get put into.
