I can kind of agree, but generally I dislike the charge buster dynamic for boss fights. turns every buster only fight into charge beam spam while waiting for boss invuln to fade. if you could still use the charge buster and spam lemons I'd prefer it, as I find landing multiple lesser damage shots during openings much more fun than one big shot.

Any other human would be allowed to recuse themselves from that mission. But Zero isn't. His value is as an instrument of death to his own kind. A human can fall mentally ill or be a bad person and they're allowed to be rehabilitated. If a Reploid fucks up once or has a mental breakdown, they die on the spot. And usually by the hand of their fellow Reploids who have complete understanding of what they're doing and the world they live in. And that's fucked up.

I think if they were to ever bridge the Classic and X series in any way this would probably be a pretty big point that there's nothing actually really separating a Robot Master from a Reploid on an individual level outside of not having an expiration date or an Asimovian set of guidelines and "prime directive," the AI was already there for something like X a century prior and X himself isn't anything special past Light deciding he wanted to make one without any guidelines at all That comic sidesteps the issue entirely by playing with Proto Man's own "prime directive" being so extraordinarily vague that his vagrancy is still within the directive of "be Dr. Light's son," and never got to the point where Bass was properly introduced and his total disobedience to Wily could really be messed with, even in the alternate timeline of Battle Network the technology for AIs is already so damn good that NetNavis have something that could nebulously be called free will (Bass.EXE is supposed to be the exception but he's a lab experiment that escaped) but they're more than happy to be a teenager's mouse pointer

And the Maverick Wars, Eurasia, Elf Wars and beyond wouldn't have happened if Dr. Light didn't build a sentient robot and die before releasing him to the world properly thanks to extensive morality testing.
