firstly, why cant you drill holes in your wall? If its an apartment like $4 of materials at a home depot will fix it on move out day no problem. Secondly, using a tension rod in your window frame will do it too. Its nowhere near as great an option as you'll more than likely get light bleed on the edge but its way better than nothing.

They're called tension rods. You also have to buy black out curtains that are compatible with them. Curtains have many different ways they attach to curtain rods. Some let light through where they attach and wouldn't work with tension rods.
