As a Kojimafag I'm honestly kind of shocked how straightforward of a sequel this is, its not bad, but it really is just more Death Stranding. Normal sequels like this feels weirdly un-Kojima, with MGS almost every new game felt wildly different from the previous one, I guess he felt DS1 still had lots of room for expansion and refinement.

what do you mean by straightforward? like it's just more of the same? because it feels more action and stealth focused. also it's weird how few encounters there are with bt's. also bb seems to play way less of role, which I don't really like. also I'm still not used to circle being attack and if accessibilities actually worked I would have changed a lot of the controls.

First game was made in 3 years and they didn't even have the time to put in a day and night cycle. DS2 feels like an apology. Everything is so much smoother.

What you’re feeling is that it sucks and it’s slowly sinking in. The first one was much better. UI upgrades, QOL and some new gadgets are neat but that’s where the improvements end.
