His old design team was a bunch of Ma.K fans and designed the classic metal gear around Maschinen Krieger kits. And then Shinkawa designed the MSG mech based on the classic. Insane how Kojima never acknowledge Kow Yokoyama or Ma.K, despite making a literal knockoff.
