I can't tell why but there's something I find deeply obnoxious and cringy about speedruns. I guess it has something to do with how almost all speedrunners are turbo autists who are hyper fixated on making video games as unfun as possible while also acting pretentious and being full of themselves, and I also find all of these "HOW THIS CRAZY MARIO SPEEDRUN WAS DONE IN 15 NANOSECONDS" videos to be really annoying too.

You know how you like FIFA and cleaning toilets? Well for these autistic types, playing Mario 1 repeatedly is almost the same. Hope that helps. Burn in hell paco you absolute dumbfuck

>solving a problem
Speedrunning is more like finding the most convoluted and retarded way to solve a problem.

I never really got speedruns either. I’m not going to sit there and watch an entire playthrough but at the same time glitch runs seem kinda pointless

You are unskilled. That's it. You lack skill so anyone displaying it is an attack on your person because you're egotistical

You're absolutely right, OP. Speedrunning in its early stages (when the techniques are still new and don't require much autism) is interesting since it uncovers the hidden mechanics in games but at some point it just reaches the threshold of "who will spend more tens of thousands of hours to get good at shaving off a single frame?" It's inane, masturbatory and a genuine waste of life.

The replies here reek, I can smell the axe wounds from behind the screen.
