>>714186938>>714187359A real war with Canada is a lose-lose realistically.
>Economic warCanada provides electricity to the NYC which would be a big hit for a couple days, especially if it was a targeted drop like was Doug Ford wanted (basically would've dropped their electricity last week and let them bake during the heat wave).
Canada also provides the majority of America's imported lumber and oil, and they have a bunch of car factories propped up on their border, uranium, a ton of minerals, all taken from Canada into America. Tons of refineries specific to Canadian imports would go tits up, lots of people jobless, lots of towns destitute like the old mining towns or Detroit when the factories moved to Asia.
Canada also gives America a lot of farming resources given how rich in resources the land is, would require a lot of new negotiations to fix that (or just more fast food I guess).
However, Canada losing the majority of its economic business would tank the country's economy. It could live, but it would cause a flood out of people who can leave- not just economic migrants but also anyone making more than six figures. I imagine Chinese interests would stay for Canadian resources (again, primarily related to farming), but that's about it, and it wouldn't be a win. Probably something like 70% of the country would be out of a job.
>Hot warThis would be retarded for America. First of all, nobody living in America has fought a war on the American borders. Their military is trained for desert shitholes, not American-style urban environments and dense forestry. Canada itself borders the most significant parts of America's structure- it's close to NYC, Washington, and California. A war with Canada would open up China to go "Ah res, we habu a vested interest in democracy, bad Amerikkkans try to take over da world", and it would be a PR disaster for America.
But also, most Canadians would assuredly die by year 3 of the war.
