Worts and all, it’s my favourite Crash game. The music, the humour, the aesthetic of Wumpa Island. I love all the character designs, and just how weird it is. The concept art is very interesting to dig through just to show how unfinished the game is.

I rented this game probably four times from my library as a kid but I was shit at video games so never made it past the first boss fight. Still idiot infant me kept getting it so yeah the game was probably pretty good

I had zero problems with the loading times in Wrath of Cortex, although that's because I played it on a hacked PS2 via USB

if the game were graded on how often op makes the same thread it'd be a masterpiece but it's not
there's something to be said about how this game has a fanbase that remembers it fondly despite being unfinished
crash games that come after this wish struggle to be talked about except nitro fueled which is remembered fondly, pc port never and 4 as a punching bag, even more than rumble which everybody forgets exists

In the one timeline where Activision was smart they would've done remakes of the less favored games with all the unrealized content and made proper sequels to CB alongside.

The first PS2 games by Traveller's Tales. One sold really well and later got ported to Xbox/Gamecube, but the other sold like shit and remained a PS2 exclusive.
